craig mac Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Quick pics of car how it looked when dropped off. Right, started off by getting up at 6am filling myself up with 2 cups of coffee and 6 fags to prepare myself for the day. went down to car and started her up. Whats that smell? fuel! quick call to craig and he said nothing to worry about there is nothing like the smell of naipalm in the morning. So off i went to alison's work to begin. Started off by washing the car using 2 bucket method, lambswool mit and megs nxt shampoo. Then clayed the whole car with a mild clay and last touch as lube clay results not too bad seen worse. washed the car again this time using zymol autobathe then dried off. I should let you all know now i have a gift, not for seeing dead people like that little guy on the 6th sense but to see swirls and there was plenty. not a problem to rid of these nasty little beggars all i need is a machine polisher and some menzerna final finish. went to work on whole car and was pleased with the results except the spoiler. went to work on it with menzerna intensive polish the refined it with final finish again and the were all gone. Then i treated all the bodywork with zymol hd cleanse. this just cleans any dirt/polish left on the bodywork before waxing. Time to bring out the new tub of zymol concours (£164 a tub) applied by hand then buffed off with zymol micro fibre towel to leave some pretty stunning results. Windows cleaned with meguires and tyres dressed also with meguires. Here is the final results

scoobyiain Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 sorry but as craig said that is a full correction detail and it took me 9 hours.
Chris.Mcd Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 Great results there [] I got my BMW detailed from guys off the detailing world forum. Results were good but most of swirl marks were below the top coat and could therefore not be corrected. Was gutted and so were the guys trying to correct it. Might get it done on the scooby soon for the summer as it has alot of swirl marks
