Man that looks nasty mate.  Take it your ok.

What happened?

For that damage I think I would go down the insurance route myself.  Going to cost a bit to fix.  Do you have no claims protection?

Heading to Asda Linwood came off a R/B and the back end went out, the passenger side front wheel bumped up the kerb. the bumper hit the fence and that spun the the back round, bounced up the kerb and hit the fence with the passenger side of the car.

The area is renound for HGVs and diesel. there was a light coverage of rain which didnt help matters.

Im not a perfect driver but i no when im going fast i take into consideration road conditions etc but when your just day to day gettin from a - b auto-pilot kicks in. Anyway the fact is i didnt see it cummin, i suppose if i did i would have walked to the shops for my milk!

If worst comes to worst il have to give the ins company a call. thank goodness my NCB is protected.

most importantly im a bit bummed but im fine thanks for askin!

If u have NCB, why even consider paying for it out of your pocket mate??

think the insurance route is the best option m8, especially with the protected NCB, after all thats what we pay them for.

even with second hand parts which will take some time to get a hold of, you would be lucky to keep the cost under a grand.

as evaux said having been in a similar position myself i wish id used my insurance, unless it purely panel damage. but looking at it id imagine the slam panel and front leg are a bit squint. good luck and i hope your back on the road soon [8-|]

well thats the dredded phone call made to the ins company (RAC) and i must say they were more than helpfull! The garage they use is (now i cant remember the name right now) any way its a porche / BMW specialist in Glasgow so i suppose they will fix it right! I was just wondering if there were any local Garages that anyone can recommend near Paisley, because it aint going to be cheap getting it fixed in a porche garage and im scared incase the insurance company say its going to cost too much and write it off.

if damage reaches 1 third the price of the cars value then they will write it off if i remember rightly from my crash and parts are expensive as they price them from subaru so i hope they dont but be prepared for the call mate and good luck but on another note my mate did that to his S3 then bought it back from the company quite cheap if thats an option to you?

I always find the roads in and around that area greasy and had my old Astra slide straight on at very low speed at the roundabout in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Houston.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I think it depends on the insurance company. My parent's cars have had some pretty hefty damage in the past costing over 50% of the cars value, and the insurance has coughed up.

Gutted for you as having done it myself a few months ago I know how it feels. Best to get an assessment done on it and see what the insurance say. It is often what you can’t see that is the problem. Mine looked just minor nothing until it got taken apart.

I had mine done at Glasgow Audi in Hillington and whilst it took them 2 goes to get the colour match right, the job was absolutely spot on. They are about as expensive as they come though.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
