emac1ennan Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Based in Edinburgh, Crail regular. Just had a test drive of a 54 plate WRX STi with PPP and all I can say is wow!!! Just sorting some finer details and be going for one. Think it will be a silver one if anyone has pics of any. What should I do first with it mod wise? Was thinking exhaust system and upgraded dump valve. Cheers
gus the bus Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Welcome along! TBH on a Newage the first thing I would do is suspension stuff springs, droplinks and decent geometry setting and then poss exhaust. Gus
ANDYJDMSTI Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Would leave the dump valve as it is as it gives no added performance. Money that can then be spend on worthwhile mods.

RS Grant Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Sweet, just ask for Fast Road... or Prodrive set-up?? Sorry for the thread hi-jack, but this is my last question.... promise!! [] Cheers, Grant
craig mac Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Fast road set up they said it was not as brutal on tyres as the prodrive settings
RS Grant Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Thanks mate... appreciate the advice. [H] Back on topic, there was a nice Silver STi for sale here. Damn good price too, for the age, mileage and the fact its been well cared for by a well known enthusiast. [H] Cheers, Grant
dipsy Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 If you won't to hear the dumpvalve more stick uprated panel filter in the airbox .I hear mine more after doing this on a newage Jdm sti
emac1ennan Posted April 10, 2007 Author Posted April 10, 2007 Craig Mac pictures requested mate, I touch goats wit email address[] Thanks for the welcome guys and Il excuse the hijack[] Hope to be joining you guys real soon
colzo Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Not Silver but Crystal Grey Forget about a atmospheric dump valve, could possiblly do more harm than good. Suspension/handling 1st then worry about more power. []

Yer getting a helluva car there, one of the best in fact, be a shame to see it leave the North East, methinks Mr. Mac is going to be heartbroken when he realises what he's done [] If you do the deal mate yer going to be grinning from ear to ear for months, hope all goes well on Monday, Craig's a top bloke and won't bullsh!t you and will offer all the advice you need.
simon_mcwilliam Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 If you think the run in the 54 plate was good, god only knows what you will think of Craigs car.I was in it at knockhill & I asked to let me out it was so quick, (I meant for him to stop at the top of the chicane so I could walk back).Or that might be due to me being a nervous passenger LOL. You will like it though. PS take spare underware with you.
gogsie Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Aye you won't be disapointed with Blue Thunder, she's a beast and blue is the fastest colour []
