VERY QUIET STI 07

Was supposed to be getting an RB 320, even allocated car No 270 but ended up with no car thanks to behind the scenes dodgy deals. 

Luckily for Subaru their customer service may stink but their cars are excellent so I bought an STI UK instead.

However my old 93 wrx import sounds fantastic with a real roar but the new STI is etremely quiet and more like a kitten. Any suggestions on exhaust mods etc. Paying a staggering £309 for 12 months for my damage to the environment so think I should get a bit more for my money's worth.

Sorry to hear about the 320 mate.. I have an 06sti and replaced the resinator with a shiny stainless steel mid section, threw on a wr sport backbox and this has done the trick nicely. I'm not sure how loud you like it, but what I did certainly improved the tone (while not deafening me from the cockpit).

Where can you get a straight through (non-resonated) centre for an 07 STi.. and what sort of money are we talking about?? Out of interest.... []

Centre section for an 07 is the same as all the new age centres. Only difference in the 06-07 exhuast systems is the downpipe and cat pipe are INDIVIDUALLY a different length to the 01-05, but combined make up the same length. If that makes sense.

You will be able to get one from all the usual exhuast bits sources. I've got a miltek centre fitted to my car.

Grant from me![] can still get the centre sections form Paul for £100 (if you meet up with me or £110 if posted up to you) in the Scottish Scoobies Group buy.

Or, if you want a cat back system with 4" rolled tailpipe then £300.
