mrs. jc scoob Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Hi all just a wee post to say thanks to Andy Forrest for working his magic on my car today needless to say its great I cant beleive the difference it has totally transformed the car, there are no flat spots and it pulls like a train, this is the best money I have spent for ages,it also puts my mind to rest knowing that the car is fuelling properly etc. Thanks too to Jon for all his hard work and for taking the day off work to go through with me and for taking it out cos I was too chicken[:$],also mega thanks to Simon at G&G Autos in Dundee for top class service while helping to get the car prepared for remap, looking forward to Sunday now so I go out for a play[]
micra_wrc Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 nice one Nic. come along to the next run we're doing (2nd & 3rd June) and be the 3rd his-and-hers-scoob-couple-combo...... there are not enough female drivers on these days out []
st3ph3n Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Nice one Mrs JC. But you should have gone for the mapping yourself, it's half the fun!
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Ace news folks ! Seems the spring has sent folk modding like mad ! Glad you like the ECU tickling treatment CGS
jcscoob Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Well done Nik[y] your car was spot on today, all you need to do now is enjoy it [] It was a fine mapping session with Andy this morrning, the "POPS" were activated for a wee while, lol but the EGT went up 100 degres[] so that was switched off for handing the car back, fun and games though[] The car done an average over two power runs of about 280/280 it now feels so smooth. The guy that ownes the garage that let me help him do the work on the car was a member on here and used to be owner, sure to return to scooby ownership soon. If you live in dundee and need a wee service or MOT(with decats) or something like that im sure he would be happy to help. G&G-Autos 01382 772777 Also thanks to Mako (subaru express delivery), for help with gasgets and the pump[y]
scoobykev Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Excellent news Nicky, glad all went well. how does it feel to have the quickest car in the family now[] Simon at G&G certainly is a handy bloke to know, does all my servicing now, proper job[Y]
the squiggle Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Nice one Mrs JC Scoob, what did you do to the car prior to the remap mod wise or was she mapped as std. Now it has to be Imy's turn at MrF...........but i feel i would have to drive on the mapping run as it would frustrate Andy to death with Imy lifting at 4000rpm.................oh it went a bit quick there.
