Andy_Cat Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Hi i'm Andy (dunno what the giveaway would be) i'm from Norwich kinda?!? i've just been lucky enough to purchase a Subaru Impreza Catalunya thanks to a good friend and although it's had a few modifications so far, i was wondering what else would help. I've owned plenty of n/a cars but turbo's are all new to me [:$] building a 14 second Civic was fun but was still scrabbly! I'll be using the car hopefully up the strip and maybe track.. So far the car has; Sti Exhaust and Forge dumpvalve - which came with the car I've started off where i did in my previous cars - (stopping helps) and just purchased a set of G88 discs and it has some EBC red stuff pads ( which i'm not too sure on) I've been looking at filters and read in quite a few places that the Green Cotton panel filter is a wise move but other than that i'm stumped Any advice would be great as i cant keep bugging my mate as she'll soon get narked.
cambscoobyrob Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 hello and welcome matey! dam lucky buggar to get hold of one of them to! top stuff! whats ur budget for a start then fella?
Andy_Cat Posted March 26, 2007 Author Posted March 26, 2007 Yeah its number 163! Got number plate C4T LU with it! Thats even better lol Well i dont want to spend extragant amounts lets put it that way, but being kinda new to scoobys im just looking at a little more power without going too silly, i know that prob doesnt make sense but it does honest [:$]
nick76 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Hi Andy, Welcome to sidc mate. Nice to hear from someone else round here who's got a cat[H] I've got number 009! had it for about 18 months now. So far mods wise i've got a green cotton panel filter and a scoobysport back box, but there should be more coming soon[6] The green cotton filters are supposed to be good and don't cost much. Maybe that and centre decat pipe would make a noticeable improvement without forking out loads.
cambscoobyrob Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 wel for a start i full de cat is one of the most rewarding mods, uprate ur fuel pump and then ur open to new turbos remaps injectors, or even nos if u want to go down that route mate
frenchy Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Welcome to the forum matey. I'm in Norwich once a month so i'll look out for your wave [] As for mods, I'd start with getting a decat or sports cat on there to open her up a bit... makes such a big difference in my opinion. I guess it depends how loud you want her to be [] I've got a full Hayward & Scott system which is quite loud [] A green cotton filter is a good mod too. Kim
