Magnex 6x4 vs H&S backbox

I've had a magnex 6x4 on my classic scoob for aout a year and a half, but i can't stand the drone at 70mph.

I'd like to have the burble etc. at low speed but I hear that the Hayward & Scott is better in the high speed categeory: eg. not so loud and drony.

Anyone have any experience of both these exhaust?

Is that the small H&S or the jap style you're talking about. I can asure you the jap style is not comfortable on the ears at cruising speed especially with the deresonated centre section.

H&S small tip is puuurfect !  I have on sports cat and no resonators and it is sweet at 70-80 mph.

The Magnex is very boomy / bassy...............the H&S is refined to a certain extent until you prod the fun pedal.

Bing has the H&S larger tip and it seems fine too albeit a tad louder

I have tried other exhausts and the H&S is the biz for me....

Also forgot to say that I had a Magnex on my old Civic and it too gave my a dull headache at motor way revs

Keevster also had a full system and it was slightly wearing at > 60 mph

I used the H&S bung on mine (Jap Can) and it was much better - cost £60 though.  Still have it and the can - may sell them both or just the bung???

Cheers pals

Looks like i'm in the market for a new backbox, then.

Anyone got the H&S backbox for sale? Normal diameter one, not the big one?
