dynamix Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Just thought I would share the results of latest road dyno testing prior to further work next week. Will be able to up the boost slightly and adjust timing to take advantage of greater fuel flow capacity. This is a comparison between pre and post decat and figures are at the wheels on similar temp days done in 4th gear. Plus had some new graphics done:
alan_hanna Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Now thats smart, nice new graphics too.[]
danuleson Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Am liking the new re-designed graphics Duncan [Y] Something quite original! Hope to see ya at the next meet [H]
dynamix Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 not 100% sure I can make the next meet as it is the night before my next track day at Snetterton on the 28th. will try and sneak out for a while though []
wrx-ian Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 New graphics look great. Not too over the top.
dynamix Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 Well, further mapping has been now done to take advantage of extra fuel pressure and it is like night and day to previous - will post some new road dyno results up later and overlay against the old results. Should be interesting [] For information boost has been upped a little and cam and ignition timing altered .... feels so much better but hitting the limit of what the airbox can cope with now, does this ever stop?
wrx-ian Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 Sounds like your getting a good set up there. You coming to the meet on tuesday to show it off a bit???
dynamix Posted February 24, 2007 Author Posted February 24, 2007 yep - will be there early and shoot off early ... tyres to change etc. dyno runs were quite interesting.... Maximum Wheel Power: 310.9 BHP @ 5649 RPMMaximum Wheel Torque: 354.1 LbFt @ 4396 RPMup on last week by:- 31whp - 39 lb/ft torque
paul_dyson Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Is this just with a de-cat and re-map? Which rolling road did you use. Some good looking figures there.
dynamix Posted February 25, 2007 Author Posted February 25, 2007 There are several modifications mainly concentrating around better breathing of inlet and exhaust but also modifications to reduce the risk of det, full 3 inch decat system, and some mapping. The test were done on the road using Ecutek Delta Dash Road Dyno, which calculates the figures back from actual 'Real-World' acceleration. This calculates wheel figures as shown above NOT flywheel [] There is room for error in the weight of the vehicle but comparing the runs from yesterday vs last weeks runs show a good improvement...
