  2. Thanks for the reply, heading to API. They seem to think it is the rear bearing that can be done without removing the gearbox. Worth it if if is:) Cheers )
  3. Hi all, it appears I might need to replace my gearbox bearings! Anyone what and where would be the best option? 1. Replace box. 2. Replace bearings. 3. Go mad and fit 6 speed box and diff. Main thing is, I am in the Cambridge area so I am after optins that would be local for option 1 & 2. Option 3 will be API. Many thanks in advanve. P
  4. Turns out I need a new clutch To that end any recommendations for places to get one and have fittted. I'm local Cambs and on Essex border with Suffolk. Cheers P
  5. Yeah, and checked the charging system. 14v on tick over 12v with all elec stuff on, lights ect? Could this be an alarm/imobliser issue??/ But then why would it seem like the bat was dead?
  6. Right, yesterday on the way to work for a second or two the ABS light came on and flashed, rev needle flickered and the stereo flashed as if on standby then all was normal?? Today scoob, would not start as if batt was dead, then when blipped the key fob it would give bleep from the alarm and indys flash, try to start and nothing as if batt dead, repeat the process and same again. Had a look under the hood, nothing strange, it then started.???? Battery was replaced a month ago. Any ideas whats going on? Could I take it into Welches and could they read the problem from the ECU?? Electrics are a little beyond me:( its a UK 2000 turbo.
  7. Congrads Rosie, and don't let it put you off. Have two lasd in my troop who are ex instructors from Bassingbourn, and they are quality section commanders Its not so bad, and meant to be hard for a reason, otherwise anyone could join and pass CMSR, which isn't the point. We want and need soldiers who want to be soldiers. All the best and good luck. P
  8. I've a UK 2000 classic. 132000 miles on clock, last service carried out at was 60000 mile, is the next one a 7500 mile ?? Second where would you recommend? Have used Welches in Cambs for all services since owning. Cheers P
  9. I know there is a wanted thread, but these are not the regular type of parts you find. need the following: Front and rear fog lamp switches. Bracket that holds the alarm speaker on drivers side on engine bay. All for a UK 2000 turbo. 2000 reg. Anyone where I can get before trying a dealership?

  11. Excuse me gents, where and when?
  12. Don't if anyone watched the news, but it seems that the above has been identified as a possible location for nuc waste[:S] How much of an effect will that have on the forest and surrounding areas??
