boris b Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Before and after....I know which i like best [] Many thanks to West Lothian Autotints in Broxburn
cupradave Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Think I like the first pic best Just kidding mate, looks like they have done a fantastic job, looking sweet [Y] What grade of tint did you go for?
boris b Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 Thanks matey. The front ones are 35% All rear 5% Limo style apparently. Nice and dark, can't see into motor at rear when standing next to it due to angle. Did a great job, lifetime guarentee. Done a good price for me as well. I must have caught him at a good time []
jodie typeRA Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 boris how much iff ya dont mind there 10 min from me could be handy[Y]
scoobymadburd Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Yeah i like the tints on the wagon. Like our wagon a lot better when we got our wagon tinted. Looking good mate! Claire
oobster Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Looks good Kit - hope you don't get any bother from your colleagues!
boris b Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 Cheers mate, As long as you don't drive like a tube and attract attention to yourself, all is usually well...[] Front ones are about legal according to an ex traffic officer who saw car today, doesn't matter about the rest being very dark. Kit
james666 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 looks good mate i just had my wagon re done at the weekend i did not go for limo tint thought as i found it to dark and you couldn't see in or out of them i went for a fade from light smoke on the 2 front doors to med smoke on rear doors to dark smoke on the other 3 windows. not got any pic as yet.
colzo Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Looks a clean example you`ve got there mate. The tints finish the car off nicely! [Y]
boris b Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 I didn't really intend to get the limo look....I just asked him to do it a bit dark and left him to it. It's not too dark inside and i've been out in the dark driving and noticed that you just need to be a boit more observant . Which isn't a bad thing i suppose. Get you piccies up mate.
martin_allen Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Another request for the price on this. looks really smart especially with the colour of your car. 5t.
boris b Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 Cheers mate, Raymond that runs the place said it's usually about £250....BUT... He done me a deal....I must have got him on a good day [] Kit
Guest AlanK Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 hehe- our cars are stating to look very similar. Not sure what the tints are on mine but sometimes wish it was a bit darker - will be interested to see yours in the flesh sometime! Alan
boris b Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 Ha Ha, does it look that similar ? I'm waiting to see if i'm getting a set of Anthracite wheels for it.. What's on yours mate ? Kit B

He is Alan McGuire of SPY GLASS based in castlemilk, you can call him on 07968497461. i paid £140 for 7 windows but i thinks thats mates rates but he is very reasonable and does a great job. feel free to give him a call. will get pics up soon.
steve_nairn_sti Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Are you sure your fronts are legal? I've been doing a bit of reading on this lately for my new motor and I'm pretty sure that you're not allowed to retrofit any grade of tint to your front side windows after a certain date. Cars that had the tint fitted prior to said date (Can't remember the exact date) can be no darker than 35%, but now no tint can be fitted. I'm sure I've read this on a couple of scottish tinting websites. I could be wrong but it'd be worth checking out....
boris b Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 Ahh well , what the hell. Your prob correct, someone in pub said something similar when i said that the tints on their car were about the same as mine, his were factory tints.... Don't suppose that too many cops know what's what regarding this...Would be pretty damn petty if they were to fix someone for it... I'm nightshift tonight so will do some digging about on computer. Kit
james666 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 i know mine are legal. as i cant be are$d with hassle from polis.
