mazheriqbal_mohammed Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Hi folks, been a while since i last posted anything but thought i would pit yer brains a bit! <>Amate of mine has a classic 1.6 GL Impreza and was after improving thelooks and performance (if possible []). We were wondering if bodyparts of any of the classic turbos would fit onto his Impreza? Hasanyone tried or seen this done? Also are there any performance modsthat would fit onto his scooby ie induction kits, exhausts, etc? Ihave tried to convince him to buy a turbo Impreza but he is after afuel economical, turbo looking scooby (for now at least []). Sosuggestions please.....
drb5 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Performance wise, don't bother, unless he fits a full turbo engine and running gear. Looks, he can make it look like a turbo no problem. Ebay has loads of uses. []
jamie_wood Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Hey there. You can get performance exhaust manifolds, exhaust systems/back boxes for the 2.0L Sport. Im sure you could get something for ther 1.6 Turbo front brakes fit on, so long as you up the wheel size. Front bumper and bonnet swaps would give the turbo look. Interiors can be changed too. A full interior can be had for anything from £50-£250 I would say that a good start would be factory Turbo wheels, front bumper and bonnet, followed by the interior then a custom made back box. Not forgetting that all important rear wing to finish her off.
Guest Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 as jamie has said, rear spoiler - either low, mid or high --- dependant how high you want. btw got a spare low one (black). i have a few bits for sale if you wish to look. good luck, its addictive
mazheriqbal_mohammed Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 Thanks for the suggestions folks and cheers for stating what we were all thinking Acid []When i was up at AWD on Friday theyreconed that all the body parts should be a straight swop as for enginemods many of the 2.0L sport should be compatable. My mate was prettychuffed to hear it although nothing beats the grunt from a turbo'dscoob []
