400 BHP chinese style

went to peters place tonight to drop off some cash for rafle tickets and the beast was sitting outside... It's not that often you see a 400bhp scooby so i hade to ask peter if he would give me a spin, so off we went, pottered up the road till she was warmed up and then all hell broke loose ... She was blasting down the road like lightning and not giving up all the way to the limit BEEP BEEP then same again and again in every gear.. peter i must say i am impressed with your car and its was good of you to let me drive her thank you sir...

not another one again ffs ????????? as we all know (because theres a thread every week) peters car is a beast [H] but surely we have had enough threads about it now??

no im not jelous (i drive a classic, and there faster even still []) i couldent give a flying to$$ who has the biggest, fastest ,most powerfull ,bluest ,scariest or who has the furriest diced newage around! but it`s getting beyond a joke now, im starting to think these threads are being posted to wind certain other members up

FFS, this is one of my first posts and its because reading this every day is getting a bit old hat. I know of people with 650hp and less than half the weight of a subaru, but I dont phone them up every morning to blow sunshine out of their a**e.

happy to let other people drive his car and make up their own mind and

the forum is the only way these folk have to say thanks to Peter.

my post wasnt questioning how much ponies he had/has or having a dig at peter (i dont even know the man) or anybody who has ever travelled in it, it was saying we all know it`s a beast but we dont need to hear about it every week, Andy.F`s car gets less attention and thats the mother of all impreza`s []

cant they just say thanks when they get out of the drivers seat then? if i didnt read the thread then i would miss half the topics on this site as half of them seem to be about peters car

Thats really decent of Peter to let others have a little shot, and not surprising the lucky few would want to say thanks, but would it not be better to pm?

That way its a bit more personal and perhaps would be even better from Peter's point of view as he wouldnt have people constantly arguing like children over his car. Just a thought!

Why does everyone take these threads so seriously.

To stop all the arguing can someone post a thread and name it "The Chinese 400 Experience" and pin it.  People who have had a drive in Peter's car can post their comments here and if you don't want to read what people say then don't open it up.

I have got to take my hat off to the likes of Peter and DRB5 and The Welsho to name but a few as these guys (apologies for not naming guys from outside the Glasgow region as i am fairly new to the club and have not had the pleasure of meeting up with a lot of members yet) as these guys are willing to let people experience the different ways scoobs can be modified.  To hand over the keys to your pride and joy takes a lot and it is not everyone that is willing to do it.

  What a lot of people forget is that when modifying a car no two cars are the same.  There are a lot of amazing scoobs in the club and hopefully as i get to more and more meets i will be able to get to ride shotgun in some more cars and i will post up my thoughts after them. 

I am on a quest to improve the performance of my car but tbh i ain't aiming for a figure of bhp.  I have a list of parts i am going to fit and once fitted if i don't put it on a rolling road to get a bhp figure i am not going ot lose sleep over it.  All i am interested in is getting the car feeling the way i want it. 

I am heading up to Keith today so if there is anyone in the area with a scoob then pm me and we could meet up.  It would be good to get to know people further away than Glasgow.

peter took myself and my daughter out in the chinese 400 this afternoon what a car sounds amazing and goes like feck all ive ever been in .
