scientific steve Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 what do you guys do with the water tank for the intercooler spray over winter ??? are you ment to empty it incase of it freezing and damaging the tank ? or do you guys just leave it half empty or what ?
RA Dunk Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 havent got one myself , but i read somewhere theres stuff to add in it, cant remember wot it is though
scientific steve Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 suppose at a push i could put in some of that additive []
RA Dunk Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 hmmm wonder wot would happen if ya did that now??
scientific steve Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 will have to look at the freezing point for it but i know that a 50/50 water mix can be used and it cools it a bit more too [] but not that i'm going to need it colder at this time of year likes
Neofox Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Only thing you gotta watch is depending what additive you use it may stain your intercooler when used. PS Steve you should hopefully have an email []
RA Dunk Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 hmmm intresting, very intresting indeed [8-|]

Power Junkie Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I use a bit of alcohol based screen wash, No freezing and quicker evaporation []
johnnyr6 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 i don't bother my a@#e with it, but then i don't have auto spray so just leave it alone.

johns Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I just left mine alone (it's in the boot on my car), and never had any issues. John
scientific steve Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 was thinking about the screen wash likes and all them pretty bubbles too [][] but was not too sure like, might give it a go [Y] i was trying to remember if i used anything last year but as i was away for the worst part of the winter me old man had the car and it was locked away in the garage [:$]
kinghorn Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 i had one in my old mini and it run off the screen wash system (NO NEED FOR NE PUMPS OR BOTTLES) it worked fine with the screen wash mix doent damage the cooler at all. i will be addin a touch to mine in the scoob. do the sprayers in the bugeye work automaticly like the evos??
ANDYJDMSTI Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 . do the sprayers in the bugeye work automaticly like the evos?? if it is an import they have the auto facility. If a UK car then you get a warning light when you need to press the button.
kinghorn Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 ahh cool, its a UK and i have never had the warnin come on yet and i do give it heaps of stick
micra_wrc Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 . do the sprayers in the bugeye work automaticly like the evos?? if it is an import they have the auto facility. If a UK car then you get a warning light when you need to press the button. classic imports dont have auto - i need to manually push the I/C spray button edit to add that this is the 1st winter I've had the RA - not planning to do anything to the water in the bottle [8-)]
