col666 Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Glad your ok, must have been a biggy to get a free ride in a chopper!
st3ph3n Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Good to hear you're alright Vicky. Hope the inflight service on the helicopter was better than easyjet.
rallye6 Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 One of the best rally's I have been to in a long time, very technical challenging stages. Weather was warm and dry,WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR DEFINETLY. Brian[H]
twentytwobee Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I was at the Calgary stage on Saturday afternoon where the Orange Mk2 was dumped in the scenery, real shame as that car sounded very good and had a huge amount of pace. Along came a white Mk2 about 10 mins later and threw itself off in exactly the same part of the stage which was a shame. The white car may be repaired but the orange car may need slightly more 'T' cut?! Not sure if anyone has the pics but I think there was an Evo7 very badly damaged on the Calgary section the hight before. I saw it on the back of a trailer and it looked like it was ready for the bin. I was talking to the guys 'McKinstry Motorsport' that hired the winning car while I waited two hours for a ferry yesterday and they said that the same car will be converted to gravel spec this week in Northern Ireland and it will be in the Bulldog Rally this weekend. Lets keep an eye on it as from what I saw of it its a beast of a car. Oh and glad to hear that the injured parties are on the mend, cars are easier to fix.
Vicky Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Think there are a few pics of our car being recvoered on www.rally-photo.com, car no 98. If anyone else got pics can you post them, i never got to see the car as a was strapped to a spinal board so missed the car inspection. Ta Vix

Vicky Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 well chaps, heres some pics for you. OUCH! I know its not an impreza but bare with me on this one. Have borrowed these photos from www.rally-photo.com This was our crash, will get a report up soon and some more photos of the car as i'm going to see it tonight - i didn't get to see it after as i was strapped to a spinal board and airlifter by helicopter to Glasgow, recovring at home with no broken bones but took a nasty knock to the head as my helmet came off in roll 2 out of 7.
wrxmania Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Not good Vicky - glad you are OK enough to post []
Vicky Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I can still type with my wrist strapped up and bruised from head to toe, lol. saw the car tonight some pictures nice and shiney
st3ph3n Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 That looks like it took a fair hit Vicky. Cage looks like it did a good job though. Good to see you're doing alright.
craigdmcd Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Vicki, I'm guessing that not so cheeky chappie standing in the back left of the 3rd photo was your driver for the weekend(Mr Marshall Jnr?). Also noted the glum look on JD's face as he worked out how he was going to straighten that one out. At least Fred has got the Scoob back together again after the JCR. A bit of a non-finishing run getting going here. I think you are going to have to learn to say no to JD a bit more forcefully!!!
Vicky Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Yup i think you are right, i definatly have to learn to say know to JD, and yes the sheepish wee soul in the background is ross, my driver. Yeh it does appear to be a bit of a bad run at the moment but hopefully that is for the time being. They say these thing come in 3s so the thats me had the 3 bad ones now so hopefully it will be all good from now on. Did you see Phil and I on rally fever the other night in the mazda from the Clark?
micra_wrc Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 OMG vicky - that looks bad. glad you are ok and that you managed to get medical attention quickly.

No, what channel is rally fever on? What was the 3rd of the 3 bad ones then?
Vicky Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 This one was the 3rd of my three bad ones so no more please, lol. I recorded it but keep an eye out incase it is on sky sports again. Yup that mazda.
dominic_haseldine Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Vicky, Glad to hear you are on the mend; you certainly gave the medical team a fright. I was the Dr putting you on the spinal board. The vehicle certainly was a mess; I had to ask that it was a Peugeot!
twentytwobee Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Would that be the Dr with the gold Subaru?
