mctwistuk Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Am getting eibach springs fitted on thursday and just wondered if anyone had any pictures of before and after of their scoobs with eibach springs. cheers chris
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 this is my old car with eibach springs on, not got any b4 pics but you get the idea ">
STi_Bandit Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Great number plate there andy on the old car [] Also do you remeber atol what percentage of tint that was on the rear windows Bandit
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Great number plate there andy on the old car [] Also do you remeber atol what percentage of tint that was on the rear windowsBandit am unsure about the percentage of tint, just told the place i got it from to get it done and make it fairly dark. on the rears i do not think it matters how dark it is, only the fronts get you grief.
oobster Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Forgive my ignorance on this if what i'm about to say is incorrect, but is there not a lot of opinion around about the eibach's being a bit of a nuisance for knocking in the spring cups? [:S]
craig mac Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Martin You can have the backs BLACK as Black as long as you have both wing mirrors fitted to your car A very Friendly VOSA man told me that[] CraiG
mctwistuk Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 am not sure. thought it was only on the 05 plates. can anyone help?
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 i had no issues with mine at all, although it was a bugeye. very nice setup and handled very well.
mctwistuk Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 i am going to wait until i get droplinks fitted before i get geometry done. is this ok or should i get it done straight away and then fit droplinks later? don't want to have to get it done twice.
st3ph3n Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 Any garage that fits them without doing even a basic geometery setup needs their head looked. It's not expensive, so get it done ASAP.
mctwistuk Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 can anyone recommend somewhere to do geometry in glasgow or falkirk area please?
mctwistuk Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 dont suppose you have a contact number or email address for them mate?
paulc555 Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 dont suppose you have a contact number or email address for them mate? My good friend Duncan at hypertech also now has all the gear to do alignments as well...give him a buzz.... Paul
craig mac Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Has everyone forgotten that Falkland are still in business? They set mine up and its bob on [] CraiG
mctwistuk Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 what happens if you dont get the geometry done? does the car handle badly? what exactly gets done?
st3ph3n Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Craig, bit of a distance to go with 4 wheels pointing in different directions! I forgot Duncan had the kit now. Who's fitting them for you mctwist?
mctwistuk Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 Spaceman is fitting them for me. i have bought them from him. he lives in falkirk. Craig where are falkland based? you got contact details for them? cheers chris
Spaceman Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Alright mate when fraz fitted mine it took him and me bout 2-2.5 hours should be bout same for yours. As for the knockin wi the eibachs am pretty sure that it is just wi the stis at the front and wi the 05 wrx at the front because they got the inverted strut setup like the stis. ????? am pretty sure this is the correct story but am sure i will be corrected if wrong Greig
