vicki Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Peter has been in an accident in my scooby today near Commistone Road, Edinburgh. He has been taken to hospital and I need to get the car removed from street. Does anyone in that area know a company I can call to remove it as it undrivable. Both our insurances company won't move it or the Police. Thank you. Vicki [:'(]
GrantyBoy Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Do the police not arrange for the car to be towed away, but you have to pay a premium for this. Hope it works out ok for you both

vicki Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 Going to get Peter from hospital now. Car in compound in Edinburgh. Thank you everyone, don't know what I would have done without you today [] Sounds crazy but its true.
vicki Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 Hi Guys, just back from hospital. Peter is very sore but he'll survive. Boys who crashed into him were going down a one way street the wrong way. The car wasn't stolen but they had no tax and insurance and NO STEERING WHEEL!! The Police caught them and are being charged with wreckless driving, no tax and insurance. In the car there was a bag of knives and scalpels and the boys were high on drugs. At the scene some workies helped push the car to side of road, woman asked if he wanted a cuppa whose husband actually got in his car and followed the boys, people offered the use of their phones and some handed Peter their phone numbers and name if he needed witnesses. There are some lovely, helpful people out there. One shopkeeper actually shut his shop, got into his car and went after them too. And a big thank you to everyone for their best wishes and offers of help and support. I panicked and didn't know where to turn. You all kept me on track. Thank you [] On a lighter note Peter was on his way to a meeting in Edinburgh Castle. He actually won Top Performing Manager in Scotland and Highest Brakes Sales in Scotland. Wait a minute, he has just told me the story about the 3 nurses stripping him and expects me to make him something to eat [:^)] lol Vicki []
micra_wrc Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I could sense your panic from your posts and it was touching to see the help that was offered here [Y] Glad that Peter is all right and the folk nearby stepped in to help. It kind of revitalises your faith in human nature [] cant believe the idiots that caused this though - hope they get what they deserve [:@]
GaryD Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Sorry to hear bout your bloke and your car. Hope it all gets sorted out quickly for you. Its good to hear that are still some helpful people out there!
st3ph3n Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Vicki, glad things aren't too bad. You can always replace a car, but not a person so it's good that Peter's doing ok. Hope you get everything sorted out with the car soon and that it's not too bad.
Dougie C Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Glad your both home and glad he is ok apart from being very sore!!! Glad the got the twits and hope they are locked up for a long time. It's good when everyone helps each other would make it a better world. I too knew you were worried as everyone else would be if your loved one was in an accident. Thats what friends are for to help each other. Vicki you also have PM. Dougie
redscoobydoo Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 soz to here that vicki! blxxdy shitezers, with them havin no insurance means that ur insurance havin to stump up and your claims getting affected, thats always the bit that gets me miffed. Hope it gets sorted soon, and yer back on the road. regards to you both charlie
Alan-G Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Great news Vicki, not so good from the insurance point of view though. But as stated before, we all felt your panic. Just remember though, everything happens for a reason. My house caught fire the night our first baby was born around about this time last year. (Thank goodness both mum and daughter were still in the hospital at the time). At the time I thought there was no hope, but, with friends, were all back together and sorted. As will you, Peter and your car. Take care. Alan, Jen and wee hollie.
