Changing Double Stereo to Single?

Hi folks, im thinking of changing the stereo in my sti 7 with a alpine one that ive got sitting spare. If I do this, there will be a hole left below the stereo due to the size difference. Is there any fillers, pockets or blanking plates that I could get to fill over the gap?

Also is the standard subaru stereo the normal 2 plug connection?

Forester pocket part number 66128SA000. Cost you about £15 at Subaru dealer. Will match interior and is a single din pocket.

You can get the forester cover /pocket  from subaru for around £13.00. see atatched pic

I have a Sony unit in my car and i needed a addaptor plug ,but im not sure if the alpine does .

They are also availavble from other car audio places, and they are

roughly the same money, but, they will be in the black colour, so this

time, its the stealership that seems not to be thieving our money lol

Also, you may need the adaptor plug for the ISO connection at the rear,

i fitted a Pioneers screen to mine and i needed the pioneer plug to

connect it to the scooby loom, not sure if the dealer can supply these,

but other car audio places can. Dont try Halfrauds 1st, they are mega

exspensive, if you have a MAPLIN ELECTRONICS near you, make them your

1st port of call

Is it a specific subaru connector that I need and if so does it depend on the age of the car? Checked on Ebay, but not entirely sure what im looking for.
