fai17 Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 fixed and thank godness for that plus i got some bits and bobs put on while she was down. Look.... broken front driveshaft but now fixed with a pair of up rated ones with bigger bearings and using neo instead of grease. New rear draided hoses. New front brakes. Unorthodox pulley kit from the US of Gay Alan hard at work and moving very quickly. A classic with some Gucci bits on. I would like to thank Greersport and thank you everyone for caring and looking after me when the car broke down..... CHEERS.[ip]

st3ph3n Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Great news Peter. You looked like a wee lost puppy on saturday night because you couldn't come on the run on Sunday, so I know you were missing not being able to drive the car. Now, if you can manage to get in more than one run, and not have the worst launch since the challenger on your next visit to crail then I'm sure we'll see a damn good time, because as you said - the terminal is right on the money. APs look right on the money too.
micra_wrc Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Great news Peter. You looked like a wee lost puppy on saturday night because you couldn't come on the run on Sunday, so I know you were missing not being able to drive the car. ... agreed. you looked so miserable on Sat night when you said that you couldnt go on the run. glad you've got your car sorted and i can see that you've "upgraded" the broken bits []

scientific steve Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 glad to hear that things are all mended now [Y] i did my droplinks a while ago and was surprised by the difference, very easy to do also
dave_morgan Posted September 20, 2006 Posted September 20, 2006 Have you had a chance to drive it yet ? Just wondered how much of an improvement the brakes are ? and are drilled ok compared to groovedas i've read reports that there prone to cracking. I don't think there's much will crack an AP disk. I've cracked Black Diamond and Subaru disks in a couple of track days, but the AP ones are amazing. There's a lot more metal there mind you, to be fair!
