Opinions needed please - to clean up or not?????

Someone suggested I should "un-jap" the back of the car, and maybe just fit either a new red STI badge or a single chrome Impreza badge - I quite like it as original- but what do you think?

ALSO - if I remove the blanking covers under the vents to the left and right of the bonnet, will this make any difference or cause any issues???

Simple really

You remove the Jap graphics and i kill you.

Regard to bonnet vents, pax side is over the fuse box and drivers side is over the MAF.............Know what i am saying

Grant - do you have ANY pictures of STI version 1's or the original wheels which came with it - or even Japanese reviews?  Cannot find the info anywhere. []

Version 1 had the tall spoiler and 17inch 5 spokes with single centre cap covering the wheel nuts

17" five spokes - ahhh - the only photo I have found is this one (and it says in the Haynes book it came with split rims).  These may be one and the same?

What are my chances of finding these wheels though - I'd assume NIL! []

i also think you should keep the stickers on the boot lid.

To me, it is one of the things that tells me its a JDM, as UK classics dont have the slanty WRX writing.

My opinion is the same as Grants, on both questions.

I Could be wrong, but I think the wheels on the car were a factory option, as I found a press release photo with the white 15" speedlines on it, and now I can find it again.

The car is looking nice and fresh detango'd[]

As I expected - the stickers will 100% be staying - they are unique and I like that reflection of Japanese culture.

It would seem in keeping with the other Impreza's of the period, and the fact the wheels are both 15" and Speedlines, that they would be an option.  I like those wheels more than the original STI V.1 wheels and , bizarrely, they suit the car.
