dougster Posted October 28, 2003 Posted October 28, 2003 Rocker cover gasket has gone. No Hyperflow induction as yet.(still on the boat from AUS) No catch tank (still on the boat from US) and more oil than the North Sea in the pipes. FCD in the drawer and totally p***ed off!!!! Still be running though!!
teknopete Posted October 28, 2003 Author Posted October 28, 2003 Doug, May the force b with u m8 I haven`t got word on the rest of my clutch yet but hey I`ve got a backup plan (I think) Pete
dougster Posted October 31, 2003 Posted October 31, 2003 Dougster is out. Sportsmans dinner the night before and nothing that I had planned for the scoob has been done. Instead, I have oil and coolant squirting all over the engine bay!! Hopefully Santa can pick my parts up on his travels and have them with me for fitting next year!!
CAZ1562 Posted October 31, 2003 Posted October 31, 2003 It's looking not too good for me either I'm afraid, engine is still in bits and I've a few problems with the engine parts so I'm awaiting replacement gudgeon pin & piston ring. I'll see if the parts arrive early next week.

CAZ1562 Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Hey Pete, What do you use to cut out the 52mm holes on the pod. Got another gauge to fit
scott_coull Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 email sent pete as per your profile. see you sunday
teknopete Posted November 4, 2003 Author Posted November 4, 2003 Derek, I made up a carbide tipped holesaw to suit A standard one may be able to cope but you wouldn`t get much life outta it i`d suspect. Pete
teknopete Posted November 5, 2003 Author Posted November 5, 2003 Coulster, Got it m8, BTW nice pL8 Pete
CAZ1562 Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 Pete, If I bring the pod over to Starr on Sunday do you think we could get it cut then ?
Bee Posted November 5, 2003 Posted November 5, 2003 Pete YGM fella. Is it still 30 squids each?? - Bee
teknopete Posted November 6, 2003 Author Posted November 6, 2003 Derek, U really dont want 2 be standing around when glassfibre is being cut m8, it`s top drawer bad 5h1t. If u bring it with you when we`re finished we can nip over 2 mine & do it right For everyone running on Sunday cost is £35. I was thinkin bout the "not knowing peebs names" thang, an I`ll see if i can get some sticky labels & a marker, so when peebs turn up they can take a sticker bang their name on it n stick it 2 their coat or whatever et viola, everyone instantly knows everyone else What do u guys think ? I talked 2 Jim today & he`s gonna be there early, so if any of the Aberdeen / Dundee peebs wanna meet 4 the run through I`d suggest we meet at the usual Shell station (Caird park filling station) in Dundee (at the top of the Forfar Dual carraigeway) around 08:30. Then we can have a canny drive through to get there around 09:15. How`s that sound ? BTW still waiting details from a few runners, so I can do the run order 2night Pete
Big Daz Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 Ok Been "persuaded" to give this a go So I will come along also, Dont think my power will be close to a lot of you guys tho' Big Daz
teknopete Posted November 8, 2003 Author Posted November 8, 2003 Hey folks, Now got a running order of sorts, OWNER RUN TIME 1. Big Daz 09:00 2. Willie F 09:20 3. DRB5 09:40 4. EvoJKP 10:00 5. Bee 10:20 6. Coulster 10:40 7. SG72 11:00 8. Dougie 549 11:20 9. Callum 11:40 10. Dodge 12:00 11. WRXmania 12:20 12. Dave Allan 12:40 ALL RUNNERS PLEASE NOTE, THE ABOVE TIMES ARE A REFERENCE I.E. THE FIRST FEW CARS WILL BE AT LISTED TIMES IF IT TAKES LESS SETUP TIME THEN AFTER THE THIRD CAR IT HAS BEEN KNOWN FOR TIMES TO MOVE FORWARD BY QUITE A BIT, I.E. IF EACH RUN ONLY TAKES 15 MINS THEN BY THE THIRD CAR ALL TIMES ADVANCE BY 15 MINUTES Bearing that in mind please be there as early as possible, incase we get through the cars quicker than expected, or incase we have a last minute drop out (which has also happened in the past). As I`m STILL waiting details from the following peebs, they`ll just have to slot in once the others have run 1. R6 CDW - ? 2. Zander - ? 3. Gregg - UK turbo BTW on Sunday I may have some of my dash top gauge pods for the early scoob wiith me and I will have some of my brand new (just off the machine) anodised billet alloy oil filler caps for the scoob If anyones interested remember & collar me about them. Jus gotta go find the sticky labels for the names now See u all there peebs, bright eye`d n bushy tailed Pete
