Front Splitter

Looking to purchase a front splitter for the car, several options appear to be avaliable,

1) Scott Lowe wrx splitter ...looks okay, just not sure if it is enough on its own ...

2) Scott Lowe STi splitter ...would need to purchase STi winglets, much prefer this look, but been quoted £300 for the winglets alone OUCH.

3) Doing a search on Ebay comes up with a rather nice looking splitter at a very good price (see link) ..has anybody on here ordered and fitted this one ??

Any help or advice would be appreciated ..

that one would be too low with your Teins and 17's. and would look massive on the front of your car IMHO mate. [:)]

Its the same one you posted up the last time (or was it me[8-)]) painted and fitted to the car.

Craig, I believe Stephen runs a lower lip spoiler on the car and runs the teins and has done damage to the spolier going over a sleeping policeman.

Ive a scott lowe front spilter on my sti and i can somtimes here it scrape over speed bumps so if i was to lower the car in anyway the splitter would have to come off

if its £300 for the Winglets how much is the one the same as mine, Boabs, Al's etc... now? £225 if I remember rightly[8-|] would it not be worth getting one of those?

I certainly havent had any scrapey incidents (so far) with that and the teins on.

Spoke to Gav Gus, he said he can not get them anymore, did mention though that a company called Revolution made the same one, been trying to track there website down without much success ..

Craig - i bought the winglets for my car from S&S in Ayr - genuine Subaru parts and they came in at less than £150 if memory serves me correctly.

Hang on 5-10 mins and i'll go and check.

£130.95 they came in at - NOT each - this was for a pair.

I had to get mine in white (coz they dont make red STI's) and get them painted myself, but i'm sure you can get them in WR Blue.

Suggest giving Ian a call down at S&S - i got the 10% SIDC discount, but the £130.95 included next-day postage to save me going down to Ayr to pick them up.

If my memory is good, I ordered them on a Monday and had them delivered to me by the middle of the next week.

Also, just for your info, i've got the winglets (obviously) + the Scott Lowe STI splitter - it's been scraped maybe twice in all the time i've had it on, but then i've only got the Prodrive springs, not the Tein ones. And the scrapes have all been underneath, nothing noticeable unless you were under the car. ALWAYS reverse into parking spaces where there is a kerb though.

Just the post I've been looking for!! Was looking to get some WR blue STI winglets for my WRX as well but the high price was putting me off!

Is it OK if I give you a call on Monday aswell Russ?
