jamie_wood Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Sorry to post up a non Scooby related topic on the Scottish section[:$]But I need the advice of the locals!! Has anyone got good recommendations for suppliers of top quality/hand made furniture. Were looking for a few items. A large side board , a super king bed and a coffee table. We spent most of the afternoon round Glasgow and managed to source a few items we wanted but still require the bed and the sideboard thingy. We were in Back street pine, The other lumbar Co. & a few others today but so far we only have a company called Olympia that have come up with the goods. Im just wanting to check any other options before I bite the bullet and buy. Been round the likes of Sterling and Ikea. [] The stuff is made from bloomin' ply wood and spittle I think!!! If anyone has any sensible ideas then I would be grateful for the heads up
the squiggle Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Give me a bell at your continence, know the ideal place for hand made. Although all the wood in Scandinavia would be required for a super king bed that will support your rear end, IMHO Car you sent me on MSN the other night, sorry was online with PS2, nice but you know i have a soft spot for them,
jamie_wood Posted August 10, 2006 Author Posted August 10, 2006 lol @ the Nutty Squirrel[] Not wanting Scandy wood as its too soft but I will get the details anyway. MSN...... stand by. P.s Series C MaC in Jap guise is the daddy right enough!
the squiggle Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 God almighty the first man on here to refer to it by its proper moniker, never heard anyone call it a series C before. So what trees do you know that would provide steel reinforced wood
ANDYJDMSTI Posted August 10, 2006 Posted August 10, 2006 Jamie, hope you are well chief. If you remember the wee village we did the handover/ takeover of my flaps then there is a guy about 200m up the road on the left (obviously heading towards Drymen) from where we were parked. he makes some nice handmade stuff. []
