stripe Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Freshly delivered from Scoobyworld, Carbonfibretastic!!! Also, my exhaust has just blown, so just ordered a Magnex 6x4 Oval with de-cat centre section, gettin loads of new toys! Anyone know a decent place to get the spoiler / scoop fitted within the Glasgow area?
st3ph3n Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Is it not easy enough to just unmount the originals and mount these in the same way?
stripe Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Is it not easy enough to just unmount the originals and mount these in the same way? Am pretty much rubbish at everything though, I am 99.9% guaranteed to make an arse of it. Had a go at the Scoop, thought it didn't look too bad, but it just wasn't happening!

stripe Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 Thanks dude! Canny wait to get them fitted!
david_taylor Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Nice one mate! I take it the car only had the back box SS exhaust and standard there after then? I have just got the Magnex on mine with de cat mid section and I opted for the 3.5" round tail pipe. Fair to say its good and I defo notice a slight power increase! Post the photos when its all sorted mate!
stripe Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 It already had a de-cat, but somehow its developed a hole in it! (Think it was thanks to a speed bump when i was on ma hols last week!!) My luck wi cars gets better and better! To be honest a think the system a had was a bit TOO loud, the Magnex one gives off a nice sound, and keeps the neighbours a bit happier too!
david_taylor Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I was not wanting anyting to loud myself. The Magnex is really resevered under idle and low revs, but what a difference when you open it up. I am sure you will be happy. Cant believe that the exhaust got busted, unless previous owner liked to crunch over speed bumps!! At least if you purchse it then you have a life time gaurntee! Glad to see you are gettin some mods for the motor at last and not just waiting to drive it!! Sure we will bump in together at some points in the future, mabey in a meet eh!
stripe Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 The HKS system was given to me by a mate who had it on his McRae series, so it has had quite a bit of use out of it, but as you say i have a brand new one of high quality with that bomb proof lifetime guarantee, so even a should be ok with that! Its good to be able to enjoy her now, especially with the new engine in place! I am gonna be gettng a lot more involved with going to meets etc now that everything has settled down wi the car, so will deffo bump into you at some point bud!
david_taylor Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Nice one buddy..You should come along the central meet on 22nd Aug. Its at Grieves, which I believe you should have visited soon. Always good to meet, and put faces to names mate.
stripe Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 If I aint working (shift worker!) I will be there mate! What time do you usually meet up at?
david_taylor Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Usually between 7-7.30. Its in the events section, you should sign up on it.
