thewelsho Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Finally wore the wife down! Popped into Hypertech at BB and spoke to Duncan regarding replacement springs, geometry etc. Went for the Teins. He assured me that it will not invalidate the warranty other than the springs (obviously). So, as soon as they take owership of the next batch of Teins, I'm in!
st3ph3n Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 DROPLINKS! I can't suggest them enough. Not expensive too when you're getting the other stuff sorted.
thewelsho Posted July 27, 2006 Author Posted July 27, 2006 Yes! Forgot to mention that when I was in, will mention it when I get the work done! What sort of difference do these make?
st3ph3n Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I had the droplinks done well before my Teins. Them and the geometery setup. When I drove the car it was like complete night and day. The wishy washy feeling at near the limit cornering had completely gone and the car felt much more solid and it was doing what you were telling it to do. I honestly without a shadow of a doubt would take any new scooby straight from the dealer to get them fitted and have decent geometery dialled in. Give hypertech a phone and see how much they'd be. Not sure if they keep a stock, but they should be able to get them pretty easy as whiteline's UK distributor is in Fife.

thefastone Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Right Guys, Not meaning to sound stoopid here, it does come natural... But, What are droplinks?
thewelsho Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 Right Guys, Not meaning to sound stoopid here, it does come natural...But, What are droplinks? Suspension bits which reduce flexing and therefore effectively increase the rear roll bar stiffness; helps to reduce any natural understeer. Costing £150 from Hypertech in Bonnybridge. So he said, I just got his e-mail.

st3ph3n Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I think the springs are in good supply, it's just the full coilover setups that aren't.
