craig mac Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Folks Just started looking to insure the car again due early next month, Gary at Keith Micheals is getting back to me, But Tesco have come up with the best to date. Anyone else i should try? Tried Elephant, but tesco beat them hands down............... Craig
G.Mac Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 yea Keith Michaels was going to be about a grand for me, Tesco, Virgin and Privelage are all very good, Privelage were £541 for me 26 with 6 yrs NCB and didnt bother about if a tracker was fitted!!!??? Virgin was about £580 I think but they offered 0% finance on payments Graeme
G.Mac Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 The car is standard again[] not sure when I will get arround to getting it back to full blown mode My bike is taking up too much of my time recently (but for 541 I might leave it standard for a wee while, till the bank ballance recovers) Appologies to Ally-b as he does not have an early warning device for me popping round (he used to be able to hear me a couple of streets away!![]) Graeme
chris_c201 Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Did you sell your exhaust system then? What bout the remap?
G.Mac Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Na, its in the garage, called Mr F and he said it would be fine to change back, but to remember when putting the fun bits back on to do an ecu reset and do the quick learning process thing. The car feels sooooooo much slower as standard[] (sorry bout hijacking the thread....lol) Graeme
tommy_lee Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 I just got my insurance through Clare (I think) at A plan. Did loads of searching and A plan were in the lead for a while. Then I found a cheaper quote so I asked A plan to match it, which they did so I went with them.
craig mac Posted July 19, 2006 Author Posted July 19, 2006 PMSL [] £423 that will do me, PNCD AND MODS [] Craig
st3ph3n Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Elephant sent me through my renewal for next month. £650 on the 10 month plan, but will phone around for a couple of full year ones now I've got my insurance back into sync
G.Mac Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Yea, I waited 10 days till my birthday and saved 80 quid!!!! Graeme
scoobaroo Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Give Bell Direct a ring, were best quote i had, always play them against each other as they are desperate for our hard earned cash. Each year is the same, you gotta shoparound.
gus the bus Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Give Bell Direct a ring, were best quote i had, always play them against each other as they are desperate for our hard earned cash. Each year is the same, you gotta shoparound. like you Marty I ALWAYS play them @ their own game. Saved me £100 odd quid again this year[] although Admiral came up tops again for me.
craigwrx Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Just been all through that myself Craig, A-plan was the best one for me, mod freindly too, and £65 a day for track sessions. Admiral and greenlight came very close, but neither seemed as friendly when i started talking about future mods.
scooby222 Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 yup clare at a plan for me too, saved me 550 quid on my renewal!
