new Police speed camera (Edinburgh)

Found this web page a minute ago warning that there is a new police motorbike that comes armed with a laser speed camera which can be used at sites throughout the Edinburgh area that the usual van cannot park at.

That suggests more ability to sneak around in the undergrowth to me.

Being a new driver i would say "watch your speed". Being Gumball i would say "this is a LASER OPERATED MACHINE[:(]catch my drift? get the kit you need

Was just going to post this up Chris.

The article mentions it will still follow all the standard safety van procedures etc. and park in designated spots, but as we all know sometimes they're a bit relaxed with how they follow the procedures.

Plus if a police motorbike is parked ontop of a flyover looking down on a motorway is there really going to be an easy way to spot it? A luminous yellow 3 panel merc van is an easy spot, but not a bike parked behind safety railings/barriers.

The parking distance control is looking more and more like a good future purchase.

remember that the more people that have this legal device will alert the copperoonies that there is a flaw in the system.

I would take the link out and let people search for the device thats legal and is marketed as a parking sensor that just so happens to work on teh 904nm frequency that the radar guns and cameras use.

Mine is splendid[:(]

It would be really good if the Police instead chased down the tosser who's stuck nails under my tyres,so as to mince my new toyo's as I drove off.

My neighbor just spotted this 2 mins ago,he recons it was the joiners working on a nearby shop.

I'M GOING TO RETURN THEIR NAILS TO THEM...........I MAY ALSO BRING MY HAMMER TO DEMONSTRATE WHAT NAILS ARE FOR.............if you get my drift!

From the BBC article:

"A recent study

has shown that drivers who have been caught speeding by a speed camera

are twice as likely to have a collision than those who haven't been

caught."

So, in other words, if they didn't catch anyone the roads would be a safer place!
