j-k Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 I have just spoken to Sajid at JPP regarding the Sunday meet, Sajid has confirmed that there will be some food laid on ( crisps, cakes, hot/cold drinks etc ). Also there will be a few special cars attending as well ( apart from us lot ) WRC IMPREZA S201 IMPREZA 600BHP IMPREZA AND MANY MORE. Sajid is hoping to get about 50 car or so and maybe the odd Magazine for a photo shoot. We, ( Jon and I ) have been asked to get there slightly earlier as JPP are a sponsor of our Rally Car, so I reckon we should all meet at the Wharf at 11.30 ready to leave at 11.45am. I will confirm further at the meet on Friday, so whoever is going please come and talk to JK or ME to finalise. As Pele is finding out, RA's are not suited to motorway runs so we will be sitting at 60 mph or so for the run. THAT'S BAD ENOUGH! Arron. Thanks for sorting that Arron.. The list... 1.J-K 2.Pele 3.Granby 4.Hol 5.T123VOR 6.Mickyw 7.Scuzz 8. Padtwo 9. RB5108 10. RossyboyWRX 11. Aooli 12. Nudge 13. Dunks 14. The Guru 15. loonybin 16. DaveGTI 17.Baser999 18.Deani age 19. Trevor trevor, 80mph is 5000rpm....so 60 is about 4000rpm... the cars gearing is about 19mph per 1000rpm jon

The Guru Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Trevor, Jk meant to say 16mph in top for ever 1000rpm not 19mph, so at 80mph we are doing 5000rpm. If you compare that to say a UK spec car with the gearing at 25mph in top, that equates to 80mph at 3200rpm. Or in simple terms if you drive a uk car in 3rd gear that is almost like 5th in our rally car. Hope that explains it! Arron.
aooli Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Hi Having never met you all - where's the Wharf please.... tia Aooli
j-k Posted June 18, 2006 Author Posted June 18, 2006 The wharf pub is close to bluewater shopping centre....come off the A"2 at Greenhithe and follow signs for bluewater....Stay on the dual carriageway and Go PAST bluewater to the roundabout...go straight on over at that one and the next roundabout also. You will then see ASDA in front of you.Turn left along dual carriageway , over the next roundabout(burger king on your left)then left at the next roundabout....over one more roundabout and the wharf pub is at the end of that road on the right... Alternatively, you can just look at this map....[] http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?cli....x=2&in.y=8
T123VOR Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Dunks apologies but can't come out to play today! But Hey what can I say? Trevor

Pele Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 Thanks to J-K and Arron for organising this, and to Sajid for his hospitality [] Was nice to have a convoy where I didn't have to keep bouncing off the rev limiter to keep up lol and I only used a quartet tank of fuel [] and with nice new red shiny 4-pots to go on I am a very happy bunny.....[][][]
