SergeantScooby Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Has anyone else noticed the huge increase in scoobs in aberdeen area, if i was to do a WIY for every one i see driving to and from work i'd be here all day posting, but have to say i saw a cracking wr blue newage the other day going round kingswell roundabout towards westhill, with an obscenely large scoop, looked mint nice car whoever you are. i would say i pass between 5 - 10 a day each way to and from work.
andy Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Noticed that myself. I'm originally from that neck of the woods and am up there regularly. I see far more Scoobs there than in any other part of Scotland.
kloon Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Bang on SS, seen about 4 just making my way home from work alone. Like you say, WIY'ing them all would take ages, nice to see though I wonder how many know about the SIDC, maybe worth getting some flyers made up.
TypeRA28 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I seem to see more when I am driving the wifes car, so don't get as many opps. to wave. However, there are loads. When at the Granite City Rally on Saturday, lost count of how many I counted parked in the forrest.
WUZ Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I know what you mean. I have worked out that I have now worked on over 40 in the Aberdeen area alone! Russell
iain_ogston Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 There are loads of scoobs in and around aberdeen. I've noticed a particular influx of older classics as earlier models now cost peanuts from JDM auctions. Plenty of importers near or in NE scotland. Go to inverurie town centre any evening and witness minimum of 5 doing the local "circuit" (NAE me, I prefer the open road)
paul_young2 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Have an ex-salesman for SUBARU as a neighbour ,he said Aberdeen where first then Perth for sales (This was a few years ago)
bryan_taylor Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Hiya peeps, Have owned my 53 plate WR blue STi since Jul last year, got it from Town and County. I love seeing other Scoob's on the road - it reminds me how much I love mine! Just joined SIDC a few days ago and I'm lookin forward to getting to meet other similarly Scooby mental owners. If u see an extremely loud WR blue with blacked windows and stock golds - gimme a wave! PS - as of the 15th May You'll see me in a brand spanking Black Sti, 18" PFF7's, Black mudflaps with red STI, Front splitter and full PPP and Prodrive suspension!!!! I can't wait!
