st3ph3n Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Anyone else get their face burnt then? You could see the outline of my shades etched onto my poor face. But then as a ginger I burn in roughly 20 minutes.
gogsie Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Aye, great day at Knockhill, got sunburnt and everything. Nice to meet some of the other members, Dipsy, Fai17. Had a Pax run in the yellow superlight, mental, that is Go-karting for adults [] The girls loved it. Well the kids did, Julie felt sick after her first run and didn't go out again. Hollie and Hayley had a few runs in the scoob and also got a Pax run in the green and yellow Caterham and loved it. Thanks to the guy who took them out. Sorry didn't get your name. I've stuck a tenner on my RB relay sponser sheet! Well worth it to see the kids faces when they got out the car. You've caused a problem now though as they are nagging me to get a Caterham! Hayley said it's way better than a scooby!! Wait till next time when it's normal Knockhill weather! [+o(] Tyres are a bit shot. F1's fitted in October, the 2 on the passenger side has the tread all turned up at the edges. Should of put the Bridgestones back on but didn't expect lovely sunshine! Roll on the next one!

Should of put the Bridgestones back on but didn't expect lovely sunshine! Roll on the next one! Eagle F1s are crap for the track - the tyre wall is soft therefore you get 'scrubbing' at the edges. A great road tyre however, I use 'em all the time and they don't wheelspin too badly in the wet. Still, they are a medium compound so last long but take a while to heat up particularly in the wet. A good long lasting safe road tyre, with decent dry performance but defo not for the racetrack. Prob.recommend Toyo 888s or Dunlop DZs for track.
