M555RAE Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I think there are a few noses getting longer by the minute here lads! All those porky pies - shame on you!! I challange any bike and i mean any bike!!! Fireblade whatever, to try and beat me afrom Stonehaven to Netherley back road, Day or night wet or Dry and we see what happens to noses then, There will be a lot out of joint me thinks and know and it wont be mine. The Gaunlet it laid Craig Craig I'll ask my little boy if I can get a shot of his push bike and will get back to you on the challenge. If he says its okay for me to use his push bike we will have to agree on a start and finish point, I suggest we start for the square it Stonehaven so I can get some red bull from the shops to keep me going for a race along the Netherley road and finish off at the old mill inn were I can get more red bull for the trip home. I think it would be a good ideaif we ask some of the guy’s on the forum if they can help out as Marshall’s and make it a proper SIDC day out. If any one would like to help outwith this event please let us know Thanks Philip

WUZ Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I have been in 4 wheel transport with Craig at the helm (STI9) and 2 wheel transport as well (Craig mac and I in his Westie....on 2 wheels at some points....sometimes NONE!) and I can say without a shadow of a doubt..........he'll easily keep up with the 600cc bikes. I, on the other hand, only seem to run level pegging with some 750's ( ridden by girls, obviously) On the right road Craigs or my car will crush a motorbike. Ask Cal about mine. He'll tell you. Russell ps - M555Rae, as a newbie, you need to learn when to talk and when to listen. START LEARNING..........or us "Old school playa's" will teach you a driving lesson you won't forget. pps - If you want to race Craig, I recommend the Trike. Craigs not as young as he used to be and so I think you'll take him on the hills.[]

johnnyr6 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Back to subject.... A 400 exup (raceprepped) on crail. Havn't got my bike anymore but when i did i never had a car worry me on the road. Roads are just too busy and cars too wide (when was the last time you saw a car overtaking a car already in the fastlane at 140+???)

I crail got twisties that was the debate .....never saw them when i was down......Twisties bring it on your wee 400 exup And i have pasted bikes at 140+ in the fast lane your point is? LOL [] I've never seen that []
uk_Mo Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 1. Focus RS 2. Escort Cossie 3.ZXR400 ( but I think the driver of the bike was scared lol) 4. old type BMW M3 with 4 peeps in my car in the rain 5. Lots of Civic Type R's and the usual chave machines, nova's, corsa's although I have to admit I got totally smoked by a orange pearl corsa which i later found out was a 2.2 turbo [8-|]
johnnyr6 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 No, it wasn't on the twisties, i was in my scoob and beat the exup on the strip. As for the bikes, i had a R6 140 was just overtaking it would easily show 170 on the clocks. On a tight twisty road the car will win but on a sweeper its not so clear cut. Next time your at knockhill, on the way back to kincardine, once across the bridge see what speed your car is sitting at on the tight right hander heading to glasgow (all shellgripped) then it flows into a left hander. Both sweepers. My R6 would sit at 100 on the righthander and 140 on the left easy.
gus the bus Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 []Roasted and then Prodrive smoked a Lotus Exige tonight!!! Westfield to Armadale (Heatherfield) .........Chickened oot on the uphill sweeping bend (the Lotus not me[sn]). ppppuuuussssssssyyyyyyy! Spaceman Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Talkin of roastins i was driving to work last night, was on a local part of road bellsdyke road, nice big pretty straight wide road, came off the roundabout there was a clio behind me and a wee red mk3 fiesta wi silver stripes over it it looked pretty stupid at the front in the mirror, anyway once off the roundabout it was pretty clear so i went for it for a blast, so as im flat out in third i change to 4 th just hitting the ton i look in my mirror and this fiesta is rocketshippin towards me so i keep the foot down by the time im hitting 115 the wee bugger has flown by me at some pace lol that wee thing can shift. driver turned round at next roundabout and gave me a thumbs up i gave him it back as there were no arguements from the scoob..... Took it right to me so he did. Time for sport cat and remap.Me thinks Moonman blasting off in his rocket.
