DeanWRX Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 just wanted to know prices for servicing a import i am in aberdeen where would be good places to go
paddy247 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 AWD in Perth 01738 633336 ask for Andy or Grant, they will give you all the info you need
M555RAE Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Try Wallace Performance they do subaru's and are well priced. Wallace Performance Unit's 17 & 18 Murcar commercial Park Bridge of Don Aberdeen AB23 8JW TEL: 01224 708444 also Indy Car Sales Limited Main Street Rothienorman Aberdeenshire AB51 8UD Tel:01651 821050 never used them but the guy's got subaru tech's so can be bad
DeanWRX Posted April 15, 2006 Author Posted April 15, 2006 what sort of price is it for a service tho am i looking at around £400
M555RAE Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 you will be anything from £90 + Vat to £410 + vat depending on mileage
p1ggm Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I touch goats, or see Russ, he does quite a few cars on here theres always town and county
DeanWRX Posted April 15, 2006 Author Posted April 15, 2006 the millage shows 141,000 but this was 126,000km plus 15,000 miles. so approx 94,000 miles the guy i bought it from says he serviced it all himself , he had it for 2 and a half years. The guy before him had it for a few years and he did service it at a garage. so i dont know exactly when last service was done so maybe i should just get the £480 service from AWD in perth to make sure what are the service periods after 90,000 miles
M555RAE Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 service every 7500 mile but change oil every 3000 mile or so.
DeanWRX Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 service every 7500 miles ok but not a full service surely
dipsy Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Have a look in sidc faq at sevicing .Look on Awd web site they have service price list for service intervals
DeanWRX Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 so what service should i go for first the full one at £480
M555RAE Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 **Optional** change oil every 3750 miles to keep enginehappy. Every 7500 miles service (this is just a oil change again and a good checkand clean and to see if pad's ect need changed) and a full service every 30k mile
DeanWRX Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 ok so i think i will just get the full service to make a playform then do the service every 3750 and 7500 after that
M555RAE Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Quote so what service should i go for first the full one at £480 if you dont know if it got and full service at 90k go for the full service. if it did make sure cambelt got done at 90k if not get it done
DeanWRX Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 also cant see any record of the timing belt being changed will this be part of the full service if not how much will this be
M555RAE Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Also get cambelt checked every 45000 miles. Well I think this is all you need to know about service intervals.
M555RAE Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 A 90k miles service includes cambelt but make sure withgarage you go to
DeanWRX Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 ok cheers for the help thats me clear on the service side of things now
Andy N Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 alright Dean, the service at AWD is £410+ vat which does include a belt but you also get a further 10% dicount through the SIDC, when booking mind say you are an SIDC member.
MY94 Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 My advice would be to get the 90k service done,to be on the safe side. I use AWD in Perth like alot of others on here, very good place. http://www.awdmotorsport.co.uk/
iain_ogston Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Ac!d,. have you had a bad experience at Indy Cars?
