briforbes Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Hi folks, do any of you know where I could get a bottle of octane booster in Edinburgh/West Lothian today? I normally use Millers Octane Plus but am away from home and can't find anywhere that has it. Thanks, Brian
gus the bus Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Brian, I'm almost positive A1 Autostores in Bathgate (17 Glasgow Road) stock it! (01506) 652522 but they don't open until 11am me thinks. Gus
dipsy Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Have never used that octane booster what halfords sell stick with millers octane booster
RA Dunk Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 They sell the NF stuff (if i remember right) which is pretty good ,,,,expensive though
briforbes Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 Got octane plus from the place in Bathgate - bit steep at £3.99 a bottle though! Most of the stuff in Halfords isn't "real" octane booster - just tarted up crap for the Maccy D's crew. The NF stuff is supposed to be excellent though, didn't know they were stocking it. It is more expensive but I believe it goes a long way and works out cheaper in the long run than millers. Would look like a bit of a loser measuring it out at the pumps though :-). Cheers, Brian.
dipsy Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 Halfords sell that nos octane booster not nf.Nf you would need to look on the 3rd party list on sidc who sells nf.Autosave in Dundee sell it for 3.99 or depends if it on special offer
RA Dunk Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 ok my mistake lol , its definatly Nos and not NF []
spooks Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I know its no use seeing as they are closed on Sundays but Pentland components sell NF octane booster, may be worth buying a few bottles to compare. IIRC its supposed to be the best booster avail, and its reasonable as you only use about 60-100ml per tank. Spooks
