col666 Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Bike trackday in the morning was entertaining, falling like skittles at the top of duffus! Bob Grant- Below was in a different league on his race bike, absolute nutter[] Was also drifting practice on in the paddock, now I know where all the old Nissan 200sx's end up! Road legal track day in afternoon, only 1 scoob lapping though. Was the most well behaved track day i have ever seen, not much good for me taking pics though[] Baldyadonis was terrorising the porkers in his old corsa though[] Plenty more pics on site tomorrow night. Col.
G.T. Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 cool pics as ever col but i thought there was going to be so some mamary action []

G.T. Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 any time ive ever been to knockhill its been baltic was it wet duffel coat stuff col
col666 Posted April 4, 2006 Author Posted April 4, 2006 Wasnt wet, just bloody cold, got better in the afternoon though.
st3ph3n Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 You can go to Knockers in the middle of July and it'll still be -8 degrees and pishing it down.
gogsie Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Ditto on the GT3 RS what a car, nae cheap thou! Really fancy giving the drifting a go. I will have to try and persuade the wife that she would look good in a SX200 as I'm nae getting rid oh the scooby, so it has to be the Honda. So is the Knockers the morn's nite?
G.T. Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 pmsl col meant you could hang wet duffel coats on yer nips it was that cold
gambler Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I was the only scoob on track. Was a good day, not too many cars there so the track was nice and quiet.Made a nice change being dry. Some really nice cars there too. The Gt3RS was gorgeous.
col666 Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Cheers Road Warrior! Its not that difficult....honest. I self taught myself in a couple of months, still learning but quite pleased with the results most of the time[]
road warrior Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Cool! http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/650136/ShowPost.aspx This was my 1st proper effort at motorsports photography this weekend....... took lots, mostly experimenting with settings etc, trying to get a feel for whats right and wrong, bit more practice needed.....
col666 Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 Pretty good for for a 1st attempt[] Like the escort cossie pic with the blurred background. I am still messing about with settings too, getting pics of the bikes at knockhill wasnt easy because they are that damn quick! What camera do you use?
fai17 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 Brill pics m8. Will you be at KH on SIDC day in April??
road warrior Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 [] thanks Col! yeh i like that one too, just a pity the front of it is just out of focus... going away faster than the rear end.... lol yeh i had a few cars that were 1/2 out of shot too, cant imagine doing bikes! Ive got a Sony dsc-f717, nothing too fancy yet, but its got enough on it for playing about with just now... could do with a better telephoto lens for it though
col666 Posted April 5, 2006 Author Posted April 5, 2006 I use a 80-300mm lens, just big enough for knockhill because your pretty close to the track, would be pretty hopeless at most tracks down south though. Seen the pro guys at knockhill with huge lenses, makes you feel inadequate[:$] they cost silly money though, from about £500 - £5000[] Fai17, Is that the trackday on the 29th? I will almost defo be there, will make sure i get plenty shots of everybodies cars. A bit of showboating on front of the camera would be nice just dont completely loose it because i will be on front of the fences!
andrew_lally Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 cool pics col....you not get any of the 2.0 litre porsche eater hahahaha might have the scoob ready for the 29th also there is a track nite this friday if anybody fancies it!!! regards andy..........
