Gumball Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 RCM sent me the carbon fibre bonnet scoop i ordered from them the other day and i went out in the rain and fitted it to the deathstar. Unbolted the sti scoop and took the splitter off the inside. Cut the I/C spray hose and disconnected the pump. The new flat (air out) scoop looks nice and will sook that nasty hot air right back out to where it should be- anywhere other than the sanfransisco bay[]
Gumball Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 yeah its on but tucked behing my grille for protection against large boulders etc. might just take it off though.
Rice Rocket Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Trust the Ricemeister on what was said last night G unit, its my job! Scoops looks well smart Chris! I touch goats also! Ricey
dan_jess Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Looks very good Chris! Different and well smart []
Gumball Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 says the man who cant see out his mirrors but look cool. this will allow cold air to be rammed into the fmic and the hot air will rise out through the carbon slats. no lingering about causing a heat nuisance. the fact that the hardpipes for the fmic are visible also add to the show and shine effect[8-|]
G.T. Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 oooohhhh i like that very smart indeedy i think ive seen those lovely shiny new alloys before though

fai17 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Very nice G. You have indeed beaten to it again(the scoop) if i got a fmic. RCM are very good in all they do including the BIGGER turbo conversion[] just need to find the fmic that i need/want.....TRUST[]
Gumball Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 cheers guys. Peter, your an awful man for wanting to go the commercial route (says me with the APS fmic) but what i mean is.....andy forrest lives up the road and has a vast array of new blowers. Bill Greer has a very special one available that contains bearings. RCM are good when you need something snazzy but trust me.....you pay for it. You might be better going to local guys for bolt on turbos than special kits from places down south. G
st3ph3n Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Peter, the team iceland car is built by RCM, hence the use of the RCM vents. Good stuff, but as chris says, you pay for it.
col666 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Very nice[H] will throw a few burgers on it after lapping the ring....should cook nicely[]
scientific steve Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 thats very very sweet, even with burgers []
