Stu1 Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 S & S services in Ayr.....and if you have how did you find them?
oobster Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Bought my car off them about a year ago, dealt with Keiran, no problems. Deal went fine, car has gone fine since, was quite happy with the deal i got. Also dealt with Lorna in service, always helpful and they have came up to Bellshill a couple of times to pick the car up when it's needed a service or I was having mods done. Ian in parts department was also spot-on - ordered some bits and he posted them up to me to save a drive, all arrived when they said they would. They also do the 10% discount for SIDC memebrs, on parts & service. What u thinking of buying?
Stu1 Posted March 14, 2006 Author Posted March 14, 2006 Was thinking of a Imp est but got offered stupid money for the car.

G.Mac Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 I got my car from them on 7th July last year, went in for its 1000 mile service on 11th July where I reported the steering Knock Had to battle with them to give me a decent courtecy car as 1st car I was given was pulling all over the road and was running on fumes, 2nd car didnt have a clutch, 3rd car was the 2nd but with new clutch and no fuel (again) 4th was a brand new hire car paid for by Subaru UK, John Spicer isnt very good at returning phone calls etc, asked him 7 weeks ago to tell me about a supposed fix they were going to try but have not been contacted since Mr Spicer is a very good sailsman but as soon as they have got your cash in the bank they dont care Oh yea, my car had a jack handle when I got it at first but does not now and I have never used the jack, or should I say couldnt as it didnt have a handle when I got a flat!!! I would stay away from these chancers Graeme
st3ph3n Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Did you look on the underside of the boot covering bit of chipboard for the jack handle? That's where mine was! Ever tried jacking up a car using a screwdriver as the handle? not fun.
G.Mac Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Like I said, it used to be there, now its not....lol, got small trolly jack now, far safer IMHO Graeme
Stu1 Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 John Spicer isnt very good at returning phone calls etc............................................. Mr Spicer is a very good sailsman............................................... stay away from these chancers I know only too well...[:@] No he's not.....(IMO) I intend to, after he offered bloody button's for mine...[:@]
