paul_honthy Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 The back roads from Ayr down to Newton Stewart. Some really fast strentches of road with a couiple of surprises. The 77 used to be a fantastic road but the new SPEC speed camera's have made the road a bit of mare now.[]
paul_young2 Posted March 14, 2006 Author Posted March 14, 2006 Good time Scooby 222 never timed myself with the scooby yet did some HOT RUNS [6] on this road when i had a PORSCHE 944S a few years back. (A long time ago used to live in cottage at Millhills, had a Subaru pick-up then and it could fly on to !!!!! ) Will look out for you what model do you drive?
neilswrx Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 my fav is stoney to banchory well to the castle anyway for the dug twisty, some straights scoob country
oz *sti* Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 For a long run it would have to be A82 onto A87 up to Sky great mix of bends and straights []. For a short run A82 to Crianlarich A85 across and down to Lochearnhead / Callander then Stirling then back home. I think the road going down the A85 through Glen Ogle is one of the best [][Y].
Gumball Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Garrion Bridge to lanark-carstairs- carnwath-biggar-galashiels etc awesome and yet really untapped in way of scooby days out sidc wise.
chris_c201 Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Quote Garrion Bridge to lanark-carstairs- carnwath-biggar-galashiels etc Some great roads out that way in general, used to see a girl from Carluke and it was when i first passed my test... My sister's little 1.2 bravo used to get hammered all the time.... Some of the best roads i've ever driven where over in Ireland, heading from the ferry in Larne across the country to tyrone.... loads of long sweeping bends, big hills, huge line of sight so you could use the whole road on corners.... managed to get my RX8 off the ground a few times!
