bigbadboab Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Well, I was intending on looking at 2 scoobies today, phoned the relevant garages to see if they were still there, and low and behold, they had been sold. BUGGER Gus and myself found this one though. More pics by Gus later
wrxmania Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Sorry to hear that - here's a picture of nice one: Sorry, its' not for sale (maybe ) Brian
gus the bus Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 But we did find this nice example locally at a very good price! Very standard and very tidy. Despite how one of the pics looks the panels are all the same colour. Brian this is a nicer one! Gus What do youz think?
wrxmania Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Looks very clean and tidy. Did you enquire about it? Brian
bigbadboab Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 Yeah, he would give me £1900 for my passat which would leave me lots of pennies to do the prodrive mods and the headlamp conversion
wrxmania Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 You wouldn't bother with Prodrive performance pack on that age of car - you go straight to Andy F and get way more for your money... Lots could be done with that car - for £3k outlay on mods you'd have a REALLY good car. Brian
bigbadboab Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 I will probably only stick to an initial 2k outlay then see what happens, only problem I could find with this car is the colour as I would prefer WR blue
corsa Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Seen that one last week , well every day as its dircetly opposite my office there are a few scoobs for sale at Autosolutions in Rutherglen if you are interested and a fewq for sale at the garage just off the Thorntonhall roundabout in EK.

wrxmania Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 << I will probably only stick to an initial 2k outlay then see what happens, only problem I could find with this car is the colour as I would prefer WR blue >> NAH - everyone has that - Silver is the business
bigbadboab Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 << Seen that one last week , well every day as its dircetly opposite my office there are a few scoobs for sale at Autosolutions in Rutherglen if you are interested and a fewq for sale at the garage just off the Thorntonhall roundabout in EK. >> They are mostly imports though are they not. I'm after a UK spec car
gus the bus Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 edited: ooops mis-read your posting Brian. THe cars a good one and hasn't been modified or tampered with in any way. A good place to start from me thinks
oobster Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I was down @ Scott Paints about a fortnight ago looking for a touch-up stick, didn't see this one sitting - must be new-in? Does look clean & straight. Get it dropped on Teins, colour-code the side-skirts, STI-style rear spoiler, set of Scott-Lowe's finest flaps, maybe a set of black 18's, de-badge the boot and change the twin-pea-shooter for a nice 4" box and you got yourself a nice-looking piece of kit there! How many miles has it done? Not many silver new-age cars going about (only 3 in the club that I know of - ImprezaPete, Brian & Bing). So it'll be fairly unique!
gus the bus Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Andy, 58k miles with FSSH (serviced every 6k) ........and still has a few months extended warranty left Gus PS in beginning of last week! Don't think it will sit long in that nick (and price)
bigbadboab Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Is anyone able to photoshop the alloys grey???
bigbadboab Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 I won't be buying this one as it is overpriced Subaru Impreza Saloon 2.0 WRX 4WD 4d 2001/Y Insurance Group 19 (get a quote) Average mileage: 40,000 miles Cost New ('01) £ 21495 Franchised Dealer £ 8685 Independent Dealer £ 8315 Private Good £ 8095 Private Poor £ 6610 Part Exchange £ 7575
billyboy Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 You have to laugh at the turbo sticker under the price right enough.as if you would'nt know it wasn't a turbo.
sma01 Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 you tried speaking to Gav @ Ian Grieve subaru??may be mistaken but I thought i saw a WR blue one sitting on his forecourt. 01324 605100 scott

oobster Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Ah! So he has. My apologies. 4 then. I'm getting auld - memory aint what it used to be.
bigbadboab Posted January 31, 2006 Author Posted January 31, 2006 What do you guys think of this. Late 2003 with heated leather seats
wrxmania Posted January 31, 2006 Posted January 31, 2006 Looks good - the side skirts are not STI ones as he says (just painted WRX ones) and the spotlights are not an optinal extra - they're standard. Nice car though, depending on price. Brian
