A wee idea. How about every third meet or so do a wee shownshine comp with the winner getting a free meal that night. Have something for the evening to focus on each month and bring everyone together with plenty of argueing.

Or best new mod

Quite like that idea...

Why don't we email Essex Scoobies as they are very active and see what they get up to - or just check out their forums. I am sure Tiny would give us a few hints.

We have 3 regular meets a months plus lots of others

Critical thing from our point of view is that its informal & not compulsory to attend

and if you put your name down then GO [if its an event that involves payment then be prepared to still have to pay]

Newbies

Its hard but come in and say hello

Someone will have a SWRT or SIDC shirt on

Old Hands

When a Newbie says hello

Make them welcome and introduce them to a few people NOT everybody they won't remember all the names

that schedule shows how good it could be. thats a real events diary just for one region...superb

i get the strange feeling that people in that region actually drive their cars to chav it up, go on runs, meet up etc and all the time

surely thats what we should be up to

Posted

Remember that in some ways we are trying to address many regions though at once, although in reality we are addressing the Glasgow meet location face-icon-small-shocked.gif

Very true Brian, at least we all have its best interests at heart. Im sure things will get better, once I get the Richard Burns thing sorted

Ill see if I can help out. Its a shame I cannot help Chris out with the Karting. Did you get a stand in Chris?

What you have to remember is that some people only go to the lodge meet [Nice family friendly pub with great food], giving the Halfway House meet [Tyre Kicking and general Petrol Heads] a miss

Some guys only do the Posers Cruise

We advertise at both Pub meets that we have a meet, Flyers behind the bar with several Framed Signs hung on the walls. Indeed The Lodge Staff Wear the now infamous Essex Pink Shirts

Not sure TBH

I can't sort the database on area

I know we have 20-30 cars at winter meets 40+ during the summer

Posers Cruise last year was New Years NIGHT we had 25 cars turn out
