vicki Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Bought myself a pink grille badge for my car. Does anyone else have a silver car with pink badge? I have read that a hairdryer and plastic spatula are used to get the old one off but also saw that fishing gut is good too, to get behind it, which I have loads of Don't want to damage the paint!!! Does anyone have any pictures? Fed up standing outside holding the badge against car to see what it will look like Thanks
p1ggm Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 yeah give it a good heat, it will come off easy
st3ph3n Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 VICKI! BACK AWAY FROM THE MODS! Nahh! It's great fun. I bought my car a year ago almost to the day. Planning on doing nothing but a headunit and speakers. Here we are now with a headunit and no speakers, but with a whole wealth of other handling, styling and minor performance mods. And a list as long as my arm to try and get it up near the 300bhp mark next year. And I've loved every minute of it all.
vicki Posted December 9, 2005 Author Posted December 9, 2005 I tried to stay away but I just can't help myself!!! I did stop myself putting my pink fluffy dice in tho PS Were you in the Cricklewood last night?
gus the bus Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 << It has Paddy lol >> No turning back now Vicky! I was going to do "NOTHING" to the 300 when I bought it in July... well lets just say that lasted a week!
st3ph3n Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 I've not been in there for years Vicki, but I did drive past it about half 5 last night probably. I was out in the village last night at the Camphill with some mates, but the car was tucked up in bed so I could let my hair down. Which has left me a wee bit rough this morning.
tricky Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Hi Vicki, a friend of mine in england has put a pink badge on his silver classic my99, but i havent seen how it looks yet!! he says it looks the part though.

sharon_mccall Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 Good stuff Vicki. I had not done anything to my scoob and then i joined SIDC in late OCT and to date have got new alloys, new seats and a new exhaust. New bunnet next and maybe some better speakers. Am hopin to swap FastScooby my black badge for his pink one(he doesn't suit pink at all). They are so cool in pink. Good luck with the modding p.s. looking forward to meeting you next Thursday

vicki Posted December 9, 2005 Author Posted December 9, 2005 Hi Peter, my friend is a fisherman. Have got hooks, flies and loads of other fishing stuff!!!
vicki Posted December 9, 2005 Author Posted December 9, 2005 Sharon, looking forward to meeting you too on Thursday just hope I can find the place! Dipsy - what is that? lol
st3ph3n Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Vicki, A full Hayward and Scott exhaust system from the turbo back. An STI Panel Filter (rather than going the whole hog for an induction kit) and then going through to Edinburgh and having the legend that is Andy F sprinkle fairy dust over your ECU to turn the car into a monster. That's basically my plan for next year too as it happens!
