GOT ME CAR BACK!!!!!

Recommended Posts

my car is back from greers with ma new engine. I picked it from greers on monday. the car is brilliant but not running 100% as it needs a remap. Andyf is the next stage for my new ecu. I drove the car easy up from greers and OMG the noises it makes are awsome. sounds like a big sooked up rally car (well it is anyay) sucking, whooshing and popping!!

Anyway i just want to say thanks to all who have helped me out.

Wilky for the engine.

Grant for all his advice and helping me source parts

Corsa Dave for getting my car to greers

Greers for fitting the engine and getting me going again face-icon-small-happy.gif

Pedals and Gumball for taking me runs when av been scoobyless.

I dont know much on the technical side of cars but without the guys in this club i would have ended up getting a new car or a standard engine. Now i have upgraded my engine and continue to enjoy the scoob, and i have well caught the bug and i can see myself spending thousands more on my car!!

as peter says, if its not broke, break it so u can upgrade!!!

Surely everyone thanks the Hoff when they wakeup and when they go to bed anyway?

Glad to hear you're back on the road weeb.

It's an expensive business being in the SIDC. They don't tell you about the cost of parts in the membership blurb.

thanks folks, this is the spec!!

STI 7 engine adapted for phase one car. STI 2 heads and cams port matched to all manifolds and ported and polished. Standard size valves. Phase one inlet manifold powder coated blue with manifold insulation spacers, and port matched to fit onto the STI 7 block with STI 2 heads and SS gaskets.

Sards 550cc injectors on phase one rails which have been powdercoated STI pink, very nackerdooky! Throttle body onto manifold is ported and knifedged.

Gruppe s tubular headers

This engine has been running in the millenium falcon since November. It was build by Dave at API and supplied by them. It is a JDM block crank pistons and rods, semi forged very strong, ask the Squirrel.

It has run a tad over 1.4 bar since then without a glitch and has covered just over 10k with oil changes every 3k. It has had the redline set at 7k and never been cooked or run with any low fluids. If you are familiar with my car you know how the car has preformed. Yes its been on trackdays and runs but it is built for it and is looked after. The engine was never dynoed but ran similar spec and power to Coulty, although his map on the ecu was more towards torque than mine, around 330bhp.

Ill also throw in a 4.3kg flywheel. (by wilky)

knightrider has kept me sane over the last few months!! as has waiting on this monster engine. once my ecu is installed i shall contact the knight foundation and offer my services!! greers were all out of turbo boost and ejector seats so i am still looking for these!! any ideas where i can get them??
