st3ph3n Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Took the plunge and I've gone for some Tein springs when its in for a service next Friday at Hypertech. I no longer have to fight with hugely sized speed bumps as I'm changing jobs, so thought it was only right to treat myself.
fai17 Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Go for it Stephen. Remember to do your alignment again once your new springs is on
stuboo Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Good Son i hope they dot fit the ones that this guy got fitted!!!!!!
st3ph3n Posted November 25, 2005 Author Posted November 25, 2005 It'll be getting the prodrive settings done again when its in. They've worked a treat since I got them done last time. That'll be the handling and look sorted once they're done, which means only one thing next year - POWER!
oobster Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Wahey! Get in there Only one more thing required before the power mods start - set of bling bling 18's with Toyo's. Maybe PFF7's in Anthracite perhaps? Or a set of Advan's?
st3ph3n Posted November 25, 2005 Author Posted November 25, 2005 You're telling me Peter. When we left stirling on Sunday I felt like a boy on a BMX out with the men on racing bikes at times on the motorway. Round the twisty bits I was doing alright, but my car is particularly sorted handling wise I think. oobster, the wheels I forgot about. I have some ideas in my head. You've obviously seen those lovely Advan ones. I'm liking some of the 5Zigen, Volk, Work Emotion ones too. Even the Rotas. I'm a bit of a brand whore I have to admit, and the Rotas don't really have the brand clout I think. It's got to be something that looks fresh and fairly simple, but most importantly is very light weight.
gus the bus Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Stephen, got the Teins and Prodrive settings done myself a couple of months ago @ Duncs. Really transforms the look (ride height!) and handling is ten times better. Good shout mate! Enjoy! Which reminds me a must pop in and see if my Filter has arrived yet Gus PS A wee pic of how it looks now is attached! Mind n adjust yer mudflaps!!!
st3ph3n Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 Gus, have you got Scott Lowe mudflaps and if so are they set on the high or low?
gus the bus Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Prodrive ones mate! were adjusted from lowest to highest when I got springs oan but only required on the fronts as the rear doesn't go down as far. -35mm front and -25mm on rear. Gus
st3ph3n Posted November 26, 2005 Author Posted November 26, 2005 Prodrive! Get you! I'll get Duncan to move the fronts up I think. Whilst he's under there.
st3ph3n Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Car arrived back safe and sound at work this evening after Hypertech took it this morning. Servicing done and the car is feeling very nice indeed. But more excitingly the Tein springs have gone on and it's now riding lower than Buddy Holly's plane! Combined with the front splitter it's now a real speed bump worrier. Not seen it in the daylight yet, but in the dark it looks really menacing at the front. They've left my mud flaps in the existing position at the moment, but I think I'll need to move the front ones up a notch. Great service yet again from Hypertech, so my thanks go to them.
peter_macgowan Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 How much you talking about for the 30k service ? Got 2500 miles to go for 30k service.
oobster Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 And i've got even less - 1700 miles i think st3ph3n - pics man, pics. C'Mon!
st3ph3n Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 That was the 19000 mile one I was in for. One picture so far. Dodgy cam phone, very dark with stupidly powerful garage light on. Oh and my car is MOCKET. Better ones tomorrow or sunday when I give it a good clean.

Did Dunc get your Geometery done @ the same time.
G.T. Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 looks lower than a snakes baws stephen, very nice indeed. think you need to get onto the group by for a set of 18 inch pff replicas in anthracite. Is it overly firm with the springs done, are your fillings still entact

Well worth doing if your thinking about it. gus
G.T. Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 cheers gus seriously considering it with the droplinks and arb, but dont want the grief from the mrs about it being too firm ( doesnt complain about many things being too firm)

Gus
G.T. Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 had to mention the firm thing, theres always someone lurking to add a different meaning to your posting.
