MY94 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Great to meet u all, some good banter.Nice to meet scoobymadbird and willie(is that right?),although your wagon smoked mine big time. That run was my worst of the day,I'd taken my eyes off the lights it was taking so long..............(thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it) Nice to meet u Fee.......I walk past ur car on the way to the ocean terminal all the time,so it was nice to c it being driven in anger. I didn't really speak to all of u very much, but at least I can put some faces to names on here(although gumball's decals give him away.......lol) Squirrel, did u get Andy F to have a look at ur car for u?Hope u get it all sorted so's u feel safe to give it some Cheers for the advice Paddy and giving me some pointers. Nice to meet u all,I'll try making the Lothian meet next time as u all seem like a friendly bunch..............mind u,there was no alcohol involved Hope u all made it home safe and sound,I'm off to get a second job now to make the wagon faster, cause I want to beat something /anything up the strip next time!!!Mind u,first time up the strip & I was faced with that RX7 we saw at the bridge(the one who's bonet wouldn't shut). Cheers

the squiggle Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Pleasure to meet you today and cracking shades Andy is gonna take a look at the car and give me the thumbs up or thumbs down. Got a feeling all is well as it only seems to spike on the noise front when changing from 2nd to 3rd. Pushing on heading home there was very little noise between 3rd and 5th, it was only showing some activity when giving it some coming out of 2nd into 3rd on the tighter corners. Took a small bravery pill and selected boost level 3 for the trip home and managed to get the car about 3 feet off the ground in a WRC style. I am now 90% convinced that what is showing on the Commander is just gearbox noise or the noise from the big gay dumpvalve doing its bus door impersonation. Saying this i will still wait for Andy to give it det can/wideband run before giving it death. Was very tempted to give it a run up the strip at the end but i only just got it and need to get some faith in her before side stepping the clutch at 6 grand and holding on for grim death. Nice pics Fee I like the first picture of Gumball's car and mine with the shafts of sunlight peeking through. Grant
SaxoBoy Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I want to beat something /anything up the strip next time!!!Mind u,first time up the strip & I was faced with that RX7 we saw at the bridge(the one who's bonet wouldn't shut).Cheers The RX7 is my mates and he made 390bhp at 7300rpm recently so you'd be doing well to take it. That said I thought his times were pretty dissapointing today and he could only pass me just before the line putting a few car lengths on me as we crossed. All that said, his clutch died suggesting he was never putting full power on the strip. The bonnet is delibrate to allow extra cooling Good turn out from you guys today - nice to see some old familure faces
