Johnny50 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Guess diving in to do Class 1 aint exactly cheap either i suppose. Shep...shall we combine my experience with your knowledge and go it alone ??
D4WGY Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Sorted! Feels like I'm banging my head off a brick wall! Am needing out of Tesco big style! They want me for management but don't want to get complacent and end up being a lifer. Think I'll just win the lottery Shep
Johnny50 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Lottery win would do the trick ! Is it Cisco stuff you`re looking to get into ? As i`m sure there`s plenty people needing firewall, vpn etc...
D4WGY Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Well I've only just started it really (September) coz I was getting nowhere with my degree. Did networking at uni but only for about 6 weeks so wanted to take it further. Reckon there will be better prospects at the end of it though.......... there had better be!
RS Grant Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Woooow, there is more to the computer than an 'On' button...... Cheers, Grant

RS Grant Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Yea so I recently found out, you can use that bit of info for any interviews you get mate.... It'll impress the hell out of them!! Cheers, Grant
Johnny50 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Well i`ll keep that in mind. In the meantime... Any advice on a new career path ? If i were younger, i would love to have gone into something offshore.
IanJ Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 My missus keeps looking for the off button!! Johnny I touch goats
Johnny50 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Thanks Ian. replied. As for the off button...my missus keeps telling me to use it !!!
Bladerider Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 How about becoming a lift operator.......but maybe that job has its ups and downs. Or maybe you could become a fortune teller......but I can't see any future in it. Oh, I know, you should become a professional bra fitter...the wages might not be that great, but think of the job satisfaction.
Kenny_McGee Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Hi Johnny - sorry to hear the news. Their letting folks go at my work right now, including the IT guys, so no chance. Have you thought about train driving, every kids dream, and 28k salary i believe.
