Gumball Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I hate Mondays !!! Its 0718hrs and now i have to get myself into either the cold scooby or the cold astra and head through the traffic to edinburgh complete with the coconuts that hog the outside lane at 50mph and people that swerve out in front of you cos they are strange and cant drive. Then i'll sit in a series of meetings and use words such as "proactive, incumbent,infrastructure,....." and wonder where the weekend went, before returning through the traffic to my palace. a night of GT4? maybe watch the TV? sureley there is a point to all this???????? whats everyone else doing? or did today?
paulc555 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Im off today and tom...got so many holidays to use up... my day will be out on the mountain bike.... a session on WRC Rally Evolved which I got yesterday... and the car is going for MOT this afternoon.... mmmmmmmmm
2559B Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 finished work at 6 .......... played ( or tried to !!! ) football 6:30 - 7:30 ........ ............I don't even bother using the outside lane on the M8 at this time ........... full of lane-hogging to$$er's who seem oblivious to the fact that there is nothing in the lane next to them ( until I go past laughing !!!!! ), but seem to think being in the fast lane will get them to work quicker !!!!!!!!!! WHY ??? anyway .......... that's me off 'til Thursday !!!!!

Anyone got a good job going spare? (preferably one that pays)
st3ph3n Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 The m8 is truly one of lifes little joys. I spent nearly 2 years fighting the rush hour daftness. Like the traffic slowing down to a stop for the low sun as you come up to livingston at 5pm at this time of year. IT'S THERE EVERY DAY, GET YOUR DAMN SUNGLASSES ON EARLIER NEXT TIME, AND THE VISOR DOWN. IT'S NOT GOING TO KILL YOU. Oh and when the M8 becomes the A8 as you go west too. The roadworks finished there yet it still took 3 months for people not to slow down to 40. Muppets. But alas. It's Monday, I'm working late-ish until Wednesday so I get a long lie and miss most of the A80 traffic nightmare which is nice, but it does mean being stuck here till 6 when it's dark and cold.
Gumball Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Andy I hear these guys are looking for someone of your caliber !! sounds good. only the best of the best need apply at this time of the year what with the festive rush and corporate under staffing, they would like a graduate to paint the faces on the xmas cakes
chris_c201 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Good ol work for me too.... spent the weekend clearing sh*t from my bro's back garden and taking it to the dump so i'm totally shattered and its the start of the week.... on the plus side it is dry and warm in here...
tino Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I am currently sitting in the middle of the Forth estuary on Hound Point Oil terminal awaiting the arrival of the workboat with some spares. This morning was spent in the company of some inch and sixteenth spanners and two pairs of stilsons using words like c### , f### and b@st@rd. I too am wondering what happened to the weekend, also if the workboat will take me for a smoke,I'm gasping. Hopefully will have a few games of Halo online with friends tonight. The point? MONEY!!!
tino Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Edited due to pants internet conection out here causing double post!
