=Robbo= Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Is there anywhere in Glasgow that does good brand wheels and have a good stock? Cheers Robbo
chris_c201 Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Alright Mate -- Auto-Image at the top of Gt Western Road is pretty good, decent prices as well, i just got my gold wheels powder coated anthracite grey and it was only £160 (17's) and they gave me loan wheels, pretty decent guys. There is also a couple in the south side - Motorsound which is in Cathcart - 01416499951 - Just got my car valeted in this place and was impressed by the range of wheels they have plus they seem to got anything at the drop of a hat. If you want directions to any of the above give me a shout.... And Enigma on pollockshaws road.. no experience of this one though.
5cooby Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 i also recommend auto image on great western road its a couple of doors down from the ducati shop
st3ph3n Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Is auto image the one that used to have Prosound that did the stereo stuff in it? If so then they really did have some nice wheels last time I was in, but the stereo guy had left, which was a shame as he did some great work for me in the past.
chris_c201 Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Yep, pretty sure its the same place... Beaver car audio is just up from here now and its pretty decent, not sure about installation wise but they seem to know their stuff anyway!
st3ph3n Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Bearver, like the rest of the car audio places in Glasgow seem very over priced. But maybe it's just me. Robbo, oobster got some wheels from Skidz (I think) in Falkrik. Might be worth a try.
dougster Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Don't laugh.........HALFORDS are doing deals on OZ alloys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
st3ph3n Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 What about a set of these. Cheap as chips too.
=Robbo= Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 Those wheels look fantastic mate! The only problem is they are on Ebay, and as we all know Ebay is famous for forgeries, golf clubs are the all time classic, Fishing rods are number two, big brand items (like Nike anything) of any kind are subject to suspicion. It?s interesting that the seller has really good feedback, but if you look at the comments they all relate to service and delivery, not how well the product lasted and performed over time. This is the problem with Ebay you are encouraged to provide feedback as soon as the item arrives, that feedback is not reflective of the items real quality "Trainers that fell apart two weeks later due to some manufacturing defect?. I love ebay and have bought many a thing including a really good hardware CEL fix for my decat exhaust, but beware of paying top dollar for a branded item, there is no such thing as a brand on ebay. Robbo.
