MY94 Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I got a Hayward & Scott up and downpipe fitted plus a few other bits and pieces.I needed a up-pipe as mine had gone,so I used it as an excuse to finally get the full de-cat. Plus they sorted me out as I was going on holiday up north (until today),bit last minuite and they saved my bacon! So they sorted my ill scoob and got me on my way in a faster, better Scoob.Feels great now, love the sound and occassional pop.Made a huge difference to the car,I was up Kinloch Rannoch and had a great time on the twistys. So....Cheers to all at AWD for sorting me out, great job as usual.
D4WGY Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Bet you wish you had pulled your finger out earlier huh? I should be getting decatted in the new year, can't wait! Shep
mazheriqbal_mohammed Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Yeah man got me a H&S downpipe fitted by those boys and the scooby's never been better, full on throttle response and i never get tired of the pops you get on the occational gear change. << was up Kinloch Rannoch and had a great time on the twistys >> Those roads were made for the scooby, am tempted with another trip up just for the drive << I should be getting decatted in the new year, can't wait! >> D4wgy the difference is like night and day and i fully recommend AWD with their H&S system!! Gave me nearly a second drop over the 1/4 when timed at Crail....bring on the decat!! Oh have you checked out any of those CD's you were intrested in before, hope you liked them!
fai17 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I think yous should listen to my car because it pop and bang all the time and not occasionally. Why....because i run a GEMS ecu with antilag And thats without the antilag activated
=Robbo= Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Anti-lag, does that mean you've traded your turbo for a set of twin 50's and a ported head? Or is your Gems creating overrun by over-fuelling on the lift off? *Jealous* Robbo.
fai17 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Antilag is like dumping fuel into your turbo to keep it spining on boost even when your car at stand still. Imgaine driving with positive boost all the time with no lag
=Robbo= Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 What does that sound like when you are not moving and anti lag is on? Does the turbo just spin and spin?
fai17 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Its like rough idle with pop pop bang bang pop BIG BANG then flames back to pop pop bang bang and so on Its sounds mega....more like rally car but a bit milder
ScoobyAndy Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Sounds fantastic Peter. When you getting the launch controll activated??
Johnny50 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Not advisable to sit at idle with the anti lag on for long though... I done it a few times, as mine sat at 0.8bar at tickover when switched on. Kinda gets hot under there ! hee hee
fai17 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 << Sounds fantastic Peter. When you getting the launch controll activated?? >> The mapper didn't advise to activate launch control because it was going to be hard on the drive shaft and a likelyhood of damaging it.
