ScoobySkid Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Anyone heard anymore on possible fuel blockades??? I pulled into the Shell garage on the way home hoping to fill up just in case and they had no pumps available at all, and that was at 3.30am
darryl_martin Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Yep had the same trouble last night not just with shell garages either. Filled up this morning at Gravesend and they had a delivery at Northfleet this morning and a very reasonable 98.9 better than last week!!!!
tony_cousins Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 Hi ya , dont know about fuel blockades Because of the two major players in the oil industry , BP and Esso the price of fuel has risen and all the other companies have followed suit. Obviously if we get stubburn and refuse to fill up for any length of time (Which affects us more thn them ) we do nothing to hurt there pockets, we all have to fill up at sometime and either way the money goes in there pockets. So doing this has little effect . There has been an e mail going round which is sent on and on until everybody hopefully gets it , asking that we use any other fuel provider exept BP and ESSO , and by doing this there profits will drop eventually leading them to drop there prices, and then all the others ie, shell, morrisons, texeco etc will drop theres too !!!!!!!!!! This is why there are queues at Shell garages around the country !!!!!!!! As for blockades we all know the police will force them through like they did at the last strike !!!!!!!! So the moral of the story is DONT USE BP OR ESSO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if they do strike ill have to use my GAS conversion !!!!!!!!!
PP Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Shell garage London bound on A299 (Thanet Way) at Dargate had a delivery this morning has plenty and no queues this afternoon. But 100.9p per litre
ScoobySkid Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 Tried to fill up again this morning (4am) still no Optimax at Shell Ham Hill in Snodland, down to under a quarter of a tank, may go up to Tesco in Gillingham later today to fill up with some 99ron, even though it's 99.9p, same as Optimax.
ScoobySkid Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Getting p**sed off now, still no Optimax at shell Ham Hill in Snodland, had to put a tenners worth of normal unleaded in to keep me going, fortunately still had a quarter of a tank of Optimax left so should not do any harm. Surely they can't still be behind with deliveries??
HOL Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Bluebell Hill Shell seems to be alright, as does the Wigmore Gillingham one. It must be something particular to that Franchise.
ScoobySkid Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 Thanks for that Hol, wondered how far i would have to go to get some. Just seems strange that they have not got any. Although it is a very busy station what with the number of trucks that run in there to fill up with DERV i can't understand why they should still have supply problems.
ScoobySkid Posted September 21, 2005 Author Posted September 21, 2005 Aint it typical, i go out of my way and get some Optimax from Bluebell Hill, then find on the way home this morning that Ham Hill have now got some....such is life
