the squiggle Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Due to unfotunate circumstances i cannot arrange any more runs in the country. So if there is anyone else out there that fancies arranging a run for Oct time then feel free to take over the reigns. ScoobyAndy and ImprezaPete have lined up a damn fine route around the roads in the South East so there is a starting point I dont have the appropriatte means to arrange and recce the day so i am withdrawing and looking for a suitable replacement Grant
johnnyr6 Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Sorry to hear that m8, will miss those leasurely sunday runs.

higgy Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Grant Mabey we can inlist you r services some time in the not to distant future for a good run ,but until then we will have to wait on somebody who has good road knowlege to take your position as mental mad run coordinator. Your imput will be missed. Higgy
Gumball Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 we have had the the mad march one and the highland gathering this year and its mid september. to get another run into the callender before the end of the year we need to act fast and have someone to try and live up tp the fantastic job thet grant has done for us. Any takers?????????????
jamie_wood Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Give me a week or so and I will look at my diary. If I can do something in November then I will organise it. A full days varied driving in Scottish scenery with new roads for us to try How's that sound??
dipsy Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 There a few twistie roads in the Angus area and even twister in fife
the squiggle Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 In the interests of fairness we must consider the South East area. This is the only area that has not been visited by the convoy in the last 4 runs. So far we have had the Loch Lomand area up to Inverary. The next one took us south to Moffat via Thornhill and finished of at Lanark area. The March run took us down to Newton Stewart and finished at Castle Douglas. The best one so far was the blat over the Lecht to the Glenfiddoch Distilliery. So the only to areas left that have not had a visitation from the convoy are north of Inverness {severe lack of Optimax } and south east of Edinburgh. Just my £92.86's worth Grant
ScoobyAndy Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 in the interests of the South East mob.. myself and Imprezapete would still be interestd in trying to get the route or a similar route that ourselves and grant looked at organised for sometime in the not too distant future. anyone that fancies this plan let me know and i'll start the ball rolling again. Andy p.s Grant your more than welcome to help out... your experience would be greatley appreciated
the squiggle Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 Now thats the idea You had a damn fine route all setup with fuel stops marked out The both of you know the general criteria required and the quality of roads needed Grant

weeb Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 am up for putting in some input on runs, i know most of the brilliant roads in central region. once my car is running i would be willing to be more involved!! there is a very nice road that goes from centre of inerleithen (goes past golf course) back round to edinburgh, if this can be added to anyones plans?? road is about 20miles, back road, goes through hills, round a huge pond/lochy thing!! canny mind the road number tho!!
