Bust some skulls or inform Police/Ebay

I won a PSP on Ebay last Monday and paid instantly through Paypal. I asked the guy if i could pick it up as i pass through Sanquhar every day on the way back from Dumfries. The seller left me positive feedback as soon as i had paid but never replied to confirm i could pick it up.

I sent him another Email on Wedensday to ask again, politely, if i could pick the item up and as yet no reply

I sent him another Email on Fri to ask again, bit less politely, if i coud pick the item up and as yet no reply

I had a look at the auction to see if i could obtain any other means of contact with the seller. Ebay sent me a phone number, which had 1 digit missing and was a Hamilton number, which was as much use as a fart in a wet suit. The only info i could go on was the Paypal receipt to a * ******* and the item description said it was located in Sanquhar. So due to the wonderful world wide web i found out there is 2 ********'s in Sanquhar. I tried both the numbers and 1 is not in use any more and the other rang out. A couple of hours later the second number rang back and was a lovely old gent who was more than helpful and eliminated himself from my enquiries. I now know where they stay in Sanquhar and would like your opinion on my next course of action.

I have now sent him another Email, not very polite at all, informing him/her that i know where they stay and that i am going to inform the Police

Do i inform the proper authorities about my loss of approx £170

or

Do i go and pay the nice loverly people a visit

The seller had 35+ positive feedback and now is coming up as "no longer a registered user"

I choose that item for normal money as it was located in an area that i could easily pick it up from

As far as i know, you can make a complaint with eBay & paypal removes the dosh from him. You get it back evetually. Happened with me, i bought a Nokia 6210 about a year ago, and everything went smoothly until it didnt arrive!! Seller (Leeds-based) ignored all emails until i registered an official complaint, then the seller became VERY helpful! Turns out he HAD sent it, but sent it to a buyer of a previous item he had for sale. Turned out it had arrived with a lad in Glasgow so I could get it ok. Paypal only put the money back into his account when I said I was happy.

If all else fails, take a possy south and chap his door.

i am in a similar situation with fleabay, item did not arrive so i complained to paypal who do warn you if you complain that you did not receive the goods that is one and  only complaint for that item they will investigate if goods arrive and are not as described they will not help, and ebay are as much use as t-ts on a fish. i won an item which after complaining to paypal (over 2 weeks ) did not arrive when eventually it did found it was a display model now i,m having to go through the small claims court as credt card company say its not their problem .

i hope you have better luck maybe a registered letter to him saying you hope to resolve this before court action is taken might help try credit card company try paypal doubtfull if fleabay would help as you payed through paypal

best o luck

Paypal will do a chargeback. Only had one dispute on EBay, paid by Paypal and was impressed by how quickly they sorted it considering the size of the organisation.

Cheers

I am liking the Sunday run past thier house idea

I emailed Paypal as soon as i realised something was dodgy and thier reply was to wait a few days to see if it turns up.

I have rounded up some unstable ex-military and current military personel and put them on stand by. Also try and get Wilky to induce a flashback to Nam 69 situation and let him deal with the situation.

I have Emailed a previous correspondent of his to see if they had a mailling address for the user. They confirmed the address in Sanquhar as the one they sent the item to.
