Guys, fairly new to the forum but have been to one of the central meets. Bellsquarry is closer so would like to attend. Haven't met any of those listed to date but keen to catch up if meeting is held on the 14th. Fitba on the 21st me thinks (in Livingston!)

I take it you meet in the Brewers Fayre type place?

1. Spooks - either day

2. WRXMANIA - either day (I think).

3. Oobster - 14th only, can't make the 21st.

4. Gus the Bus-14th only

Yup Gus - the Brewers Fayre in Brucefield Industry Park just off the A71.

Come on folks!! Must be more than 4 folks wanting to attend!!

P.S. Wed. 14th is the night CAZ is wanting every1 to log on @ 9pm so we can get a record number of users online face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Guys(and gals) I have altered the original post to reflect what day and time.

Gumball more than welcome to pop along, looks like this will be a small meet so more the merrier.

Sorry Scott,

I am recording our "new album" Wednesday night in Ayr. Arranged finally last night - only day we can get into the studio and it needs done before the Wedding Fayre @ Braehead in a couple of weeks (and SECC after) for our showcase gigs.

The week after I can do it...oh well face-icon-small-blush.gif

Guys and Girls, good to meet you all last night. some interesting discussions face-icon-small-wink.gif Good to see Billy through fae Glesga (nice new motor mate!) and Stepho from the Dark side.

Now you know I said I wasn't going to buy anything more for the Scoob until I sold the bike well, that credit card is now looking very flexible. Andy what do you call those STi style splitter type things on your front bumper? I think I might just order a pairface-icon-small-cool.gif

Irish Al, enjoy your holidays mate! Checked my diary and Blackpools deffo out for me mate.

Stepho, I'll look out for you on the Polkemmet Rd (Scooby or not!!!)

Cheers folks! and see you all soon.

Gus, the proper name is an "airdam skirt". I think they come individually. Ian in the parts dept. of S&S got them for me, I can double check when i get home tonight how much they cost if your interested, but i'm sure it was under £150.

They don't come supplied with the nuts & bolts required to fit them, but they are only a few pence each. Ian got these for me @ the same time as the "skirts".

Fitting is very easy - there are two "lugs" on the edge thats nearest the wing, I cut these off with a stanley knife. Then there are 3 slots down the front edge, these are for white round clips to slot in (the STi bumper has holes in the bumper for these clips to go into). I drilled the plastic rivets out that hold these slots onto the skirt (it allows the skirt to sit flush with the bumper without drilling holes in the bumper).

Once you've done that, it's 3 bolts per side plus two plastic clips (that already hold the undertray on) and it's job done. Took me about 15-20 mins per side.

Regarding last night's meet, really enjoyed it and I suggest we encourage the waitress to join in more often (hullo grisly!!). Although there were not huge numbers attending i felt the meet was better for it - more group conversations rather than individual groups chatting on their own.

Billyboy's motor is very nice indeed and hope your cold dissapears sometime soon Stevo!!

Lastly, LOL @ Irish Al's new jacket - wait till u see it!!

yup, the past couple of meets at Bellsquarry have been cosy and small.

Spooks, thanks for looking at my exhaust last night

At least I knew what the metallic scraping noise was when the backbox broke off just as i was approaching Gla and also knew what to tell the AA man what the problem was and why i've broken down LOL

going to get it sorted today.

cheers,

Andy,

"airdam skirts" that makes sense and they seem like the ideal thing for me! I might just be able to handle fitting themface-icon-small-tongue.gif

If you can double check price tonight I'll phone S&S the morra.

Cheers
